no, but I have most monthly bills set up on auto-pay to my capital one credit card - 1.5% cashback
I considered that but just dont want to give up control on when the bill is paid

its an affliction from my past profession

what's worse, making the payment or checking to see that your bank made the payment properly?

I'd say checking up, hopefully that eliminates late fees

I was at around 835-840 forever, until I started taking advantage of the zero rates on credit (Home Depot, Best Buy, Lowes) as we were doing our house gutting. Then I took a home EQ loan to help fund some of the rehab.

I dropped to 720 and felt terrible about that. Now back to 823 as I paid all of this stuff off. Just did a refi and we're all good now. All of those cards are now closed, which I'm sure helped. Last month I jumped 60 points.

I guess I was worried about nothing.

I'm at 823 this morning

I'm not expecting to borrow any money anytime soon, maybe never

hopefully never

Given the rates out there, I'm not hesitant at all to borrow. I will likely borrow for a car/SUV soon. At 3 percent, why not? We're hovering about 30% return on investments right now. Doesn't make sense to take away that return to not pay 3 percent.

I'll ask my money guy.

My investments did well last year as well, but I'm pretty conservative.

borrowing 100,000 to make $20,000 seems too good to be true.

I've never had a miss due to bank error in 20 plus years.

My company once deposited my paycheck to the wrong account, out of the blue, I changed nothing, and my mortgage payment was scheduled the next day and I had insufficient funds.  My director said he would cover the fees, but the bank waived them anyway.  My salary had gone to an account I had closed a year earlier, for no reason.  They had been deposited accurately for a year or more and then not.

I just paid my trash bill using the Schawb bank, I was not sure it would go through, first time set up, got an email when it was paid.  It's weird to me I get a trash bill.

I got the bill for my surgical procedure yesterday, $243, original bill over $15,000.  My insurance seems to be good.

Visited Carova today, which is a community only accessible by boat or driving a 4×4 vehicle along the beach. There are wild horses there that poop on everything. Not somewhere I find terribly attractive to live.
I've never been up there, but I'd like to stay in Carova for a week at one of the houses.  I tend to prefer the less crowded areas of OBX.
