Its very competitive out there especially with all the cord cutters
I cut the cord mostly because of the nonsense in dealing with those people.

Sounds like he fits in well there. He and Self share ideas, and such.

Les got fired, mostly due to what he did while at LSU. It's good to see he was up to no good at Kansas, too. Lance Leipold took over.

Photos and key takeaways from Politan Row, Midtown's classy food hall | Urbanize Atlanta
Photos and key takeaways from Politan Row, Midtown's classy food hall | Urbanize Atlanta

Last night around 7 PM I suggested we stroll up to the new food hall and try it out, figuring it would be almost empty.  I checked to ensure they were open.  The place was packed, there was a long line in front of the taco place, and lines for most of the others, the Vietnamese place had no line so we ordered a bowl.  The GM there told me they were out of various things because demand had been so high.

This is in an old office complex that has had a make over, a nice one, of late.  I was astonished how busy it was figuring it would mostly cater to office workers for lunch.  I guess it's the novelty of the thing.

My wife didn't care for her bowl, mine was "OK", but I think the Ramen place is much better, but they are not in such a prominent location.  The Korean fried chicken place is my current favorite, I fear they aare struggling, again, on a side street.  Location ....

The Korean place has mac and cheese with bacon and Kimchee in it, yum.  Shawn, one of the owners, tells me fried chicken is huge in most of Korea.  He was born in Koreatown in LA and went to Tech as a student, was in a bad car accident and now is in a wheelchair, really nice fellow.  I admire folks with the chutzpa to start their own business like this.

I tend to like "colorful" coaches like Les, and the Pirate, and a handful of others, Spurrier was the best.  Smart is entirely boring and predictable, as is Saban.

Lance is clean, and a very good coach.

It's the hottest 84 degrees I can recall.. humidity is a force multiplier....

I recall being in doha Qatar and seeing 140* on a digital thermo, and reconciled against 5 others... that was kill you hot, but the humidity was burned off.  When the temp dropped to a cool 100 at night, though, the fog would be so thick you couldn't see 30 feet in front of yourself.

I dont want to ask for it "really", but, I wager from 80 to 90 or 95 and relative to that temp the humidity at 90+% is maybe the most overbearing point of trying to work outside.  When I came back from doha to the states, in August, and having to run a crew to install sensors outside I was asked if I wanted to do it at night... I laughed and said "uh, I think we're acclimated"... turns out, nope... the southeast and its temps+humidity is just plain brutal.... its not as brutal as south east Asia, but..... its close.

Yeah, it's 115 out here in Phx, but when I was helping my dad move some tools out of his shed to his new house, we both got wobbly....and it was 'only' 85.  But it rained everyday and in that shed it was another level.  I'd rather work in 115 out west than that.
He was embarrassed that he had to sit down, but he has bad knees and just turned 66.  We took a break and sat in his truck with the AC on full blast.  That helped.

I was the plate umpire for a winner-to-state softball game back in June with an air temp of 100 and a dew point not far from that. It was the hardest game I've ever done. I felt like a fighter going over to his ice bucket after every half-inning.

It's 82 fiery fookin' degrees here, any more days like this I'm moving to my old Canadian fishing haunts. Thankfully I just cleaned the coils on the outside AC unit and she's blowing a comfortable 74

I haven't seen this noted anywhere, but it's quite a statistical event:

Spencer Sanders had exactly the same attempts and completions the past 2 seasons.  It's nuts.
Along the lines of the A's Khris Davis hitting .247 four straight seasons.
