What are some other location names that will become model names?
We've already got Montana, Santa Fe, Tucson, Sedona, Tahoe, Colorado, Durango, Tacoma,.......
There have been a lot, including Malibu, BelAir, Biscayne, Bonneville, Lemans, misprounced of course, Pontiac had a Parisienne once ...
Corvette was a British version of a destroyer escort in WW Two, which is odd because a DE was a smaller, slower, cheaper "destroyer" built mostly for escort duty and antisub work where the high speed destroyers were not as needed. The original Corvette was more akin to that than the current version.
Cadillac is a town in Michigan of course, as is Pontiac. Cadillac is also French originally, as is Chevrolet, which we do pronounce the French way, but not Cadillac. The wife called hers a Caddyac.
Mercury is a location name of course, as is Saturn. Uranus is not yet taken.
