What value does Fro add to the board again? That stupid "game" that nobody gives a crap about?
Thanks for the insults.
Keep it up.
We're all itching to see your true character, friend.

I usually let typos pass, because we all make them.  If someone makes the same error twice in successfion, I figure they might like to be enlightened.

But not everyone appreciates learning new things, so they cling to their old belief set in spite of new and accurate information.  It's very human.

That's how you come across here. You say it's about Richt, but it's not. You targeted every believer, other than atheists.

With this post:

See?

I believe we are all friends here, no?

I'd harp on this topic even more with close friends.

Because it's not unpleasant.

Being unpleasant all the time is, well, unpleasant. And if the point is, "I will be unpleasant enough, and people will eventually see I'm right" it's a bad approach on all sorts of levels.
Avoiding this specific unpleasantness is a great way to avoid progress.
NOPE.  Sorry/not sorry.

I often was unpleasant at work, and in hindsight, that was an error on my part.  Folks, especially managers, didn't want to hear what I had to say, so they didn't, whether I ended up being right was irrelevant.

I made the mistake of thinking being right consistently was a plus.  But if you aren't heard and understood, it's pointless.  And the futility of it made me more aggressive and outspoken and ignored.

Managers often are managers because they learned how to play the game, had an early rabbi, and didn't worry about facts and being right.

So you're saying we're not close friends? 15 years?

Hell, I'd have drinks and convince you that you are wrong.

I personally would not "harp on this subject with close friends".  They believe what they believe, I usually know what it is, and I left them go their way.

But I'm pretty relaxed these days, though I never particularly cared about the religious beliefs of another person.  Some of my coworkers were outwardly religious, or outwardly atheistic, it wasn't an issue generally speaking for anyone.

The Peachtree Road Race, the world's largest 10K road race, is held every Fourth of July in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by the Atlanta Track Club, the race draws thousands of spectators and volunteers who come out each year to support the runners—all 60,000 of them, in non-pandemic times

They Called Us "Lucky" – HarperCollins
They Called Us "Lucky" – HarperCollins

Opening up for the first time about his combat experience, Congressman Ruben Gallego (D, AZ) delivers a moving and unforgettable memoir of the eternal bonds forged between the Marines of Lima Company, the hardest-hit unit of the Iraq War.

At first, they were “Lucky Lima.” Infantryman Ruben Gallego and his brothers in Lima Company—3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, young men drawn from blue-collar towns, immigrant households, Navajo reservations—returned unscathed on patrol after patrol through the increasingly violent al Anbar region of Iraq, looking for weapons caches and insurgents trying to destabilize the nascent Iraqi government. After two months in Iraq, Lima didn't have a casualty, not a single Purple Heart, no injury worse than a blister. Lucky Lima.

Then, in May 2005, Lima’s fortunes flipped. Unknown to Ruben and his fellow grunts, al Anbar had recently become a haven for al Qaeda in Mesopotamia. The bin Laden-sponsored group had recruited radicals from all over the world for jihad against the Americans. On one fateful day, they were lured into a death house; the ambush cost the lives of two men, including a platoon sergeant. Two days later, Ruben’s best friend, Jonathon Grant, died in an IED attack, along with several others. Events worsened from there. A disastrous operation in Haditha in August claimed the lives of thirteen Marines when an IED destroyed their amphibious vehicle. It was the worst single-day loss for the Marines since the 1983 Beirut bombings. By the time 3/25 went home in November, it had lost more men than any other single unit in the war. Forty-six Marines and two Navy Corpsmen serving with the battalion in Iraq were killed in action during their roughly nine-month activation.
They Called Us “Lucky” details Ruben Gallego’s journey and includes harrowing accounts of some of the war’s most costly battles. It details the struggles and the successes of Ruben—now a member of Congress—and the rest of Lima Company following Iraq, examining the complicated matter of PTSD. And it serves as a tribute to Ruben’s fallen comrades, who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Fro is the Atheist version of the crazy homeless street preacher on a crowed corner, proselytizing to disinterested passersby through a bullhorn.
