I think what was done to the Natives of this land is probably "our" biggest sin.

I also think what is commonly overlooked is who exactly was selling slaves to be brought here. Had there been no supply, there would not be a market.

Its not only conservatives against CRT

across this nation people of all races are speaking out against it

I was really surprised to learn that a liberal couple I know from Northern VA is pulling their two children out of public school because of...guess what the last straw was? Both are confirmed Catholic who left the church years ago. They are both joining their local parish, taking communion, and attending confessional again, all as complement to sending their little ones into Catholic school.

My kid thought i was a yeti until she was at least 6 and I told her not to tell anyone... now I tell her to not tell anyone I'm not a yeti. The other part is leprechaun...

@OrangeAfroMan , sir, you work in academia and there truly is no more well defined bubble.  Sorry, not sorry, it's the truth.  At the same time you dont- regardless of postulations and theory- have a better grip on reality of culture in the US.

I'm not saying I do either.  I have my own bubble of skull crackers and supporting ensemble called the Corps.

All: We have an opportunity here to use college football as the glue to bind different cultures and customs, walks of life from poverty to wealth, and a full spectrum of political ideology... we should is it to understand others rather than box them up and ridicule them.

Break....

I see all manner of birds of prey nowadays I never saw when I was a kid.  Theyre seemingly everywhere.  Earlier this morning while sticking down the magic beans of consciousness (coffee)  I watched an osprey being chased by two brave Blue Jay's... I see hawks all the time of several varieties, owls, and even a falcon... its a huge thing the size of a red tailed hawk but it's black and white. I only know it's a falcon because someone told me- I would have guessed it's a marked cruiser in the hawk genre.

WASHINGTON (AP) — With abortion and guns already on the agenda, the conservative-dominated Supreme Court is considering adding a third blockbuster issue — whether to ban consideration of race in college admissions.

The justices on Monday put off a decision about whether they will hear an appeal claiming that Harvard discriminates against Asian American applicants, in a case that could have nationwide repercussions. The court asked the Justice Department to weigh in on the case, a process that typically takes several months.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is leaving in place the convictions of two men who as members of a white supremacist group participated in a white nationalist rally in Virginia in 2017 that turned violent.

The high court said Monday that it would not take the case of Michael Miselis or Benjamin Daley, who participated in the rally as members of the “Rise Above Movement,” or “RAM.” Both pleaded guilty to federal rioting charges in connection with the Virginia rally.

As is typical, the high court didn’t comment in turning away their cases.

so why now do we need to change those teachings to make it clear all white people were in on it
You're inventing shit now.  No one is teaching this.  Stop.

Seems so hypocritical and disingenuous for you to say this.

public policy is being loudly and openly debated. Voices are being heard.  To my knowledge no voice in favor of CRT is being canceled or suppressed. In fact- it seems that those who do not want this taught to their children are often being canceled or called Racist.  So what are you talking about?
Clearly your views are more closely aligned with the left to far left. Their playbook has been cancel and suppress opposing views, or pull the racist card- for a long time.  That is blatantly obvious.  You should be very comfy with it now.

Talk about boogeymen...
No.  No, no, no, no.
As a teacher, it's literally my job to teach what happened (in this subject and case).  If a student has an opposing view, it's absolutely not canceled or suppressed, but investigated for validity.  If it's an invalid view, that's a "teachable moment."  It's not an "Ha-ha!" or "gotcha" moment in any way.
.
Wen you're discussing teaching and learning, you're talking so far out of your ass, I don't know how to properly describe it.

You mean the gassing of 6M Jews?
How many natives do you think populated the whole continent of North America before we showed up?

History.
So I'm going to ask if this is what you're saying:
African guy who took a village by force and has a bunch of defeated peoples under him is standing on the coast.
Huge ship sails up and pale people yell out, "hey, can we buy those people you dominated?"
African guy says, "No!"
Pale people from ship, "Oh, okay.  We'll move on then!"
.
Is this what would have happened, with a lack of supply?
