That reminds me: how did the movie "Final Destination" have sequels?

They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

I have been shifting my stocks into raw materials over the past few months, with some success.  FCX has done well and NANR is an ETF on raw materials in NA.

Shifting away from tech some.

My favorite of all time was a sailboat: Breaking Wind

Locally we've got a lot of Duffy electric boats both on Lake Mission Viejo and that tool around in Newport Harbor. Being an electrical engineer, I dig some of the good names I see on some of those. But most aren't funny to non-EEs.

Tech is gonna be super strong for all of 2022 I'd say.

Tech is interesting... There are shortages everywhere, particularly semiconductors, but quite a few other areas too--including a lot of things requiring those chips.

That creates a dynamic where profits can be very high on your sales--if you can build enough to actually be able to sell anything. Tons of opportunity for the companies that can manage their supply chain, inventories, production, and sales correctly. But it sure ain't easy.

A more adept investor than I could probably find the gold in them thar hills...

Definitely true in the short term.  And in the long term, as the supply chains free up, then production will ramp.  Prices should fall but so will material costs, so I think Tech should be sitting pretty for the next 1.5 years or so.

Agreed, but I do think there's a lot to unpack when you say "tech". Some companies are going to execute better than others in this environment.

Net consumers of hardware will be in a much worse position than net producers of hardware...
