I don't salt pasta water myself, but any difference would be marginal of course.  The sauce usually has plenty of salt for my tastes.

The sugar-kids thing really is a widely spread belief.

I was taught that you season at every step...

Also that when you're salting pasta water, you don't dump a tbls of salt in 2 gallons of water... I agree that's marginal. I usually throw in a handful.

(We go through salt quickly at my house lol...)

Margaritas-- sounds good, don't mind if I do.  It is Taco Tuesday after all.

Why is there not a Taco Thursday also?

We tried a new hot chicken place just a block away for lunch called "Howlin's", it's side by side with the "Mexican" place called Willy's Mexicana Grill.  Hattie B's is much better, but takes a drive to get to and it's always packed.

It seems nearly all the food workers here are Hispanic, even at the noodle places, which are popular here.  If I had known I could serve Ramen noodles for $10 a bowl, I'd be rich now.

No, those would be cacos.

In Barthelona they'd be pronounced tathos ;-)

Funny thing... My SIL is an Aussie. One of the first times I met her she was new to the US and living with my brother in San Diego, and we were eating Mexican food... She pronounced tortilla like it's spelled rather than tor-tee-ah. I didn't say anything, but clearly have never forgotten that one...

Way to be completely literal and ruin a joke.  Typical engineer, you must be the life of all the parties.

Edit: Also, when I was younger I was over at one of my Jewish buddy's houses for dinner and told them that I really like CH-ALLA bread.  His parents were polite and didn't say anything, but my buddy laughed his arse off at me and to this day he gives me a hard time for that.

I many times pronounce tortilla like it's spelled rather than tor-tee-ah.

but, that's just to amuse or annoy folks

yup, the citric acid in fruit can give me some heartburn

especially in the morning

margs don't seem to bother for whatever reason, maybe cause they're later in the day?
