Same here.  No one can ever accuse me of discriminating or prejudice.  I hate all people equally.

It dovetails nicely with a Libertarian outlook.

In general I agree, but reading through all of the pretentious rambling to get to the few nuggets of helpful commentary, is usually more than I can take.
This!!  Here in Florida I actually look for negative reviews from the out of towners and go to those restaurants because they’re usually the very best ones!

It's why my license plate reads:

MSNTHRP

Or it would, if California would let me have it.

Didn't Emeril and other chefs come in there to open up shop?

A lot of chefs have opened up shop there.  Either directly controlling the restaurant, or, as Mdot mentioned, signing a licensing agreement.

Morimoto, Art Smith, Wolfgang Puck, Jose Andres are a few that come to mind.

Todd English has a restaurant called Blue Zoo he opened at the Swan and Dolphin resort on Disney property.  I can confirm he actually shows up as one of my best friends was one of the head chefs there and worked with him on multiple occasions.

Cool story.  Iron Chef Cat Cora used to have a greek place on Disney's Boardwalk.  I was staying out there with my wife and daughter one weekend.  We decide to take a late night dip in the pool and hot tub.  There are other people there with their kids.  I get to talking with one the guys and it turns out my daughter is playing with Cats kids.  He mentions she's on her way over.  Sure enough she shows up.  We had a few drinks with her and shot the breeze about cooking, etc.  She looked good in a bikini.

So I called my friend the head chef because surely he'd love to hear I hung out with Cat.  He doesn't seem surprised.  Apparently she used to party after hours with some of the other foodies at Blue Zoo.  To the point she was doing shots and dancing on the bar topless.

You realize I'm just clowning on you, OAM... I may have a lower opinion of "the masses" than even you do.
Yes, but many defend "the masses" earnestly.
My frustration isn't that I hate everyone, it's that the masses don't have to be that way.  We allow ourselves to be influenced by advertisers, algorithms, and tribalism EVEN WHEN WE KNOW WE ARE.
It's embarrassing...except it's not, because the masses somehow turn things around 180 degrees and take pride in their faults instead of, you know, working to improve them.
All you need is another chode like yourself to avoid looking at yourself in the mirror.
.
*Note:  "the masses" are approximately the middle 2/3 of the population, not everyone, not necessarily YOU, and not this and that anecdotal exception you want to retort with

Ha!  I hope you're not disappointed.  It's pretty dry, plus there's sometimes something lost in translation from 17th century France to current-day USA.

But still, it's cleverly written and I rather enjoyed performing in that play in high school, playing the role of Alceste who is the lead, protagonist, and title character of the play.  It didn't hurt that a VERY cute girl played the female lead opposite me, she was a senior when I was a sophomore, and it led to some very good times.

From Moliere's other works I've read, I get the feeling he himself was not unlike Alceste.  The play might have been somewhat autobiographical.

And those you consider to be the undesirable masses, consider you to be the undesirable masses in turn.

Same as it ever was.

Yeah they do.

You're a teacher, so I admire your optimism that they don't.

But they do.
