lh320, I don't edit politics on this thread, but you often complain that "the other guys" are the ones bringing it up.  You do it at least as much, and maybe more.

I can assure you, you're not going to change anyone's mind on this forum.  So why bother.

I was under the impression that this thread could be used for politics

I only complain when politics is brought up on a non political thread

The only thread on these "non-political forums" on this site that is actually edited for politics, is the Coronavirus thread.

This thread isn't edited for politics.  Whether or not it should be used for that subject is debatable, because most of y'all turn it into a complete shit show when you do so.

I suppose it's possible you only complain when others bring up politics on the Coronavirus thread, though.  If that really is the case, well then, carry on.

If prefer we go back to the old way, where politics exists only down in A51. We sometimes came close to that line talking policy, but since last spring we jumped the line with both feet and haven't looked back.

Let's just stop. Plenty of places online to do it. We don't need it here.

They've given me license to take out the trash on the Coronavirus thread, and that's the one I care most about.

But it would be nice not to have to read through all the feces-flinging on all the other threads, too.

Another sign planners think COVID is "over".  Some projects here got delayed and are started to restart and some new ones are proposed and likely to start soon.

I'm curious why large hotel chains have SO many variant names.  I could see 5 or 6, maybe 8.

A lot of the variants seem scarcely different from the other in concept.
