I find this extremely interesting. State constitution changed in 24 states, which requires a vote of the people but happened without one.

The article doesn't say the state constitution was changed. It says the Administrative Procedures Act was not followed. Which doesn't seem great. (Out of curiosity, I couldn't find the 24 state thing. Would be interested to read about it)

In a larger sense, it is a sort of wild system. It assumes handwriting is an identifiable trait, and that these random bureaucrats will have a clue in matching them. Imagine the legal battles, ballot by ballot, digging through and matching signature by signature.

You knock it off.  Nobody here said that.

but the laws and rules, that are in place, followed, changed, not followed, etc - are a viable conversation.
You can’t censor it with your “knock it off”

One side wants fewer legal citizens to vote under the guise of "voter fraud."  That's all there is to see here.

We can all play that game, my friend.

I want every single person who is allowed to vote, and wants to vote - to be able to and do so easily-I do want them identified.  You know- how people get identified for virtually everything of substance they do in day to day life.

it is not a credible argument to say we should not ensure their identity before people vote. Even someone who says they believe that- doesn’t.

Maybe/maybe not but I have a hard time believing tax paying Americans voted for a guy who obviously is in the early stages of dementia. And a VP who had 4 yrs as senator of a floundering financial state that is/was a mess when she left.As both agreed to open the border since we know who will get the bill for that and it won't be the one %ers or those already getting Gov't subsidies.Just shoving the bill for feeding and housing anyone who jumps the border on an already taxed to death middle class

Yeah, your party doesn't.  At all.  The 2nd half of your post focuses on ID.....oh, if only that was their only tactic to suppress legal voting.  If only!

Is it credible to acknowledge an extremely tight process of ensuring might likely be used to prevent people who would like to vote and are allowed to vote from voting? Just that it would be a pretty real possible externality.

I don't have a great answer, but it certianly strikes me as a possible mechanism for chicanery, as unfortunately do the alternatives.

(This spins back a bit toward that felon voting/court fees thing, which I listened to part of a podcast on. Less about the voting part, more about how the court fees were not really court fees as much as a back door to taxes, which was interesting)
