And that's a huge section of this country- unfortunately.
So, I looked it up..........

In 2017, 80.4 million workers age 16 and older in the United States were paid at hourly rates, representing 58.3 percent of all wage and salary workers. Among those paid by the hour, 542,000 workers earned exactly the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. About 1.3 million had wages below the federal minimum. Together, these 1.8 million workers with wages at or below the federal minimum made up 2.3 percent of all hourly paid workers.

1.8 million out of 320 million Americans

That's a question for the regulators and investigators- both sides are probably at fault. They no doubt naked short and try to manipulate markets and do this shit all the time without anyone saying a word- the one time it blows up in their face you have people calling for regulation- on the retail/little guy. Lol.

SEC needs to investigate the hedge funds. They won't.
The only possible thing that should be looked into is did the hedge funds cause the brokers to take actions they normally would not have taken

if so then that stock manipulation and is illegal

or did the brokers just follow published rules of when trading is suspended
They won't let me give blood anymore. The burnt orange color scares the hell out of the doctors.

I'm pretty sure Dodge or someone will make gasoline fueled cars after 2035, likely even GM, but the day is coming where we use much less gasoline  for transportation.

Jet aircraft are an interesting challenge of course, maybe hydrogen, maybe.

so, so, in 2037, if I'm still driving, I will be able to purchase a 3 year old car and truck that burn gasoline.  And oil/gas prices should plummet from lack of demand.  Could be great paying 99 cents a gallon
Ya but you'll be charged out the ass for your electric golf cart

What could possibly go wrong

The German zeppelin Hindenburg bursts into flames as it noses toward the mooring post at the Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, N.J., on May 6, 1937.  Thirty-five people on board and one ground crew member were killed.

Schwab was supposed to buy TD Ameritrade last August but I have not noticed if they did

In the meantime I still have the same Ameritrade web site and log in
Sale was closed in September, October.  IN the process of Bringing the business together as one.

LOL. My next car is definitely going to be a Tesla. Their brand new Plaid+ Model S sedan is freaking gorgeous and has a 590 mile range on full charge, does 200mph and goes 0-60 in 1.99 seconds. Only problem is fully loaded it's about $156k.

I'm still looking for them to show me how they're going to solve the battery/range issues for towing, in a pure electric vehicle.

Hybrids on the other hand, could be a great solution for this.

GM said "light trucks".  I guess the 2500s and up are not.

The vast majority of personal/recreational towing in this country is done by F150s/1500s.  I'd hate to have to endure the ride of a F250/2500 just because that's the only option.

But as I've said many times before, I see a great market opportunity for hybrids in that space.

I've had 2500s in the past. 2002 GMC wasn't terrible.  The Fords were stiffer.

I'd guess the ride in the 2035 Chevy 2500 won't be all that bad.  It'll be worth it to have a 450hp 6.2 liter and gas at a buck a gallon

Current incarnations of the 250s/2500s ride like dump trucks across all brands.  I test drove them all, both gassers and diesels, before I settled on the F150 with the 3.5L twin turbo EB engine.  It's been a great compromise for a daily driver that also does some pretty significant towing occasionally.

Obviously I have no idea what the 2035 2500s will feel like. :)

I wonder if they concoct a special towing truck on a 1500 chassis that is plug in electric but has a Diesel powered generator on board and regen breaking.

The Diesel would be used somewhat rarely.
