Michigan’s infamous corner, #4 Gray is playing OK.

Michigan’s DL so far so good.

Hail!

Seeing Bell walk on his own to the cart is a good sign.
A decade of Victory over Penn State.

All in since 1969

Gray has gotten lucky with a couple drops and he's gotten away with some tugging/yanking that probably should've been called PI. Looks a lot better than he did last year. But: it's Western Michigan.

DL has looked better than I thought. We all knew Hutchinson was the real deal. Ojabo is flashing however and the other guys look a lot better than I thought they would. Hinton actually looking like he might be that OMERRRRG FIVE STARRRRRZ he was when he was a recruit. So there's that.

so..that's why AJ Henning was an early OMERGGG 5 STARZZZ before injuries derailed his HS career. SPEEEEEED. He missed almost 2 years of HS and still wound up a 4* and top 100 player in that 247Composite.

Been preaching about him on here for a couple years. Kid is fully healthy, and he definitely has the goods. Type of explosive player Michigan has been sorely lacking on offense.

put JJ McCarthy in there to throw screens and swing passes. Makes sense. Lol.

This offense has no balls. THROW. IT. DOWN. THE. FIELD.

yeah I get it's Western Michigan;

But this Michigan team has real skill talent. Which is not something I could say very often for a long time.

Ronnie Bell (knock on wood it's not a complete ACL blow-up), Blake Corum, AJ Henning, & Roman Wilson all flashing speed/explosion that outside of DPJ (who wound up being a 6th round pick) & Eddie McDoom (who was on the team for 5 minutes and only allowed to do end-arounds bc he had zero hands) - you just really haven't seen from too many Michigan players on offense in Harbaugh's entire tenure.

Donovan Edwards only has 3 touches, but he flashed a little bit of pep in his step too.

Who would have thought showing the coolest college football stuff would be more fun than watching people talk while it's happening?

JJ McCarthy has special talent. This is the most naturally talented QB I've seen at Michigan since Drew Henson. And I don't think it's really close. The effortless throwing motion, ball just jumps out of his hand, and the ability to move the pocket and throw on the run- kinda reminds me of Henson.

Henne had a gun, could move a little bit- but really couldn't throw on the run at all. Mallett had the strongest arm I've ever seen- but completely immobile- couldn't move at all and sure as hell couldn't throw on the move.

highest rated recruits at QB's since 2000 at Michigan....

5 STARZ
Drew Henson
Chad Henne
Ryan Mallett
Shea Patterson
JJ McCarthy

Henson was the real deal. Henne was pretty damn good. Mallett was only here for all of 5 mins. Patterson overrated- didn't have the arm talent or athleticism he was hyped to have.

Very small sample size, but McCarthy sure looks like the real deal. He can move and throw on the run, ball jumps out of his hand. He's accurate and his ball placement is high level. Let's just hope that Harbaugh doesn't ruin him.
