What about the Eggnogg?

We'll make the nog before our annual holiday party which is on 12/10 this year.  It'll probably be around 7 gallons total, so we'll have a little leftover to tide us through Christmas.

We were going to have a friendsgiving. However, everyone in our house has COVID, so that's out the window.

I'm having Thanksgiving w my parents for first time in about 25 years.  Living out in WY makes it tough and we typically find other times to assemble.

Standing rib roast will be featured.

If egg-nog was actually good, people would drink it year-round.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

We all have much to be thankful for...

I'm especially thankful that tomorrow will be the last poor performance by the Huskers of the season and also that a new coach will be hired soon

Egg Nog is like most other things.  Done properly, it's very good

We usually get around 80-100 people at our party, the nog goes quick.

And I can understand people who hate egg nog if all they've ever had is storebought crap.  That stuff is disgusting.  I, too, hated egg nog when that was all I'd ever tasted.

Right up until I had some of my i s c &  a aggie wife's homemade nog.  It opened my eyes to a whole new world of deliciousness.  It's really not the same beverage at all.

If egg-nog was actually good, people would drink it year-round.

A small cup of eggnog has about 10 million calories in it, so it's an indulgence that I only allow myself during the holidays.  If my metabolism were the same as it was in my 20s, I'd be delighted to drink it year-round.
