Yup

Like most everything else in the game, the rules favor the offenses.

Not they. Just their coach. One game doesn't change anything. He's still a self-promoting egotistical maniac, and a clown. You think Badger fans are hard on the idiot, go read the twin city newspapers and talk to some realistic Gopher fans. They don't buy his shit either.
Fleck still has a lot of hat, but unlike before he's actually got cattle this time. It may only be one game, but there was a lot of baggage attached to that game that got resolved. Including an 8 foot tall Axe that is staying in the Twin Cities for the first time since before I was of legal drinking age.

I think the Chryst administration is off to a smashing start.

PC has to make some changes for sure, starting with taking over the play calling. Then he has to make his QB accountable - if he is playing like crap, you make the change like you would any other player on the field.

It's odd that he did that two years ago.

coaches these days don't seem to get the #2 QB ready to play and keep them ready

#1 guy takes the vast majority of the snaps in practice

therefore they stick with him even when things are blowing up

I know - and it was a quick hook. I think he "likes" Alex a little too much. Don't you feel the same?

I assume there is something in how Alex approaches the game that he appreciates that I do not see. Granted, the backup two years ago was hit-and-miss, and the one the year was less than that.
I wrote this on another site, fans talk about "holding QBs accountable," but it's rare they're held accountable in that way. So maybe anger benchings of QBs are an inefficiency or there's something I'm missing.
In any case, interested about the battle next year. Could go a lot of ways.

I hope it's a true competition, and I hope it also includes the RSF (Wolf) and the true frosh (Mertz) coming in. Although, I can't recall. Is Mertz coming early, or is he waiting until June?

Something odd about putting up Christmas lights in 75 degree weather :)

Nice to see ASU come back from their biggest 4th quarter deficit (19) since 1996, and for the first time since they've been in the Pac they now have the conference's leading regular season rusher.
I thought I settled my debts that night on the ride home
But I have still got hell to pay

This was a 5 yard penalty BTW. Early in the game, and could have given us a first down.  One of the things Canada was talking about the last 3 games.

In the twitter feed, some are saying it's because a Maryland guy pushed him? I didn't see the play nor do I have any context, just parroting what was stated from your link.
