Games You Plan On Attending This Fall 2025
« on: June 13, 2025, 11:09:46 AM »
Planning for the following:

Aug 30: Utah @ UCLA – Los Angeles for the Labor Day weekend?

Sept 26: TCU @ Arizona St – Would rather save an ASU home game later in the season once the desert cools off, but this is a Friday night game meaning Saturday is free for watching a full slate of games in Tempe’s sports bars.

Oct 4: Minnesota @ Ohio St – Thanks to my Ohio St connection, I’m planning on Columbus this year; would be first my Buckeyes home game.

Oct 11: Georgia @ Auburn – Would be my third “Deep South's Oldest Rivalry” game. Hugh Freeze will either pull off a big upset, Vs Georgia or another SEC power, or else be fired later in the season. Hugh's seat is hotter than a September game in Tempe.

Also looking at an Arizona Wildcats home game as well as a dumpy bowl game, like maybe the LA Bowl Hosted By Gronk.

The proud milestone this season is reaching 100 football games attended. Currently at 96.

Here’s high school me attending my first ever college football game, after months of convincing my Dad to drive us to Lexington KY so that I could watch the Gators in person. My parents moved us kids away from Florida before we were old enough for our parents to take our childhood fan interests seriously. Lexington was the closest SEC town on Florida's schedule to where we'd relocated in the Midwest.

Sept 22 2001 Florida @ Kentucky pre-kickoff:

I think it is really cool how you've attended games in so many different stadiums and involving so many different teams.

I've attended a LOT of CFB games but nearly all of them involved the Buckeyes.  I've been to games in 15 of the B1G's 18 stadiums (all but USC, UDub, and Ore) but one of those (UCLA's) was for a bowl game, not a regular season game and didn't involve the team for which it is the home stadium.

I've also been to the Fiesta2x, Sugar2x, Orange, and Rose Bowls.

I don't know that I'll make any this year.  My kids aren't old enough to go along yet and going without them is tricky and expensive.

None for me this year.

Grumpy old man is quietly protesting the NIL/Transfer Portal mess with the (relatively) small amount of dollars they get from me.

Instead, the dollars will be spent on a second Destin trip in September.

Gatorama had been to 88 college football venues.  I've been to maybe 10, probably fewer.

Akron, Michigan and Iowa bought today with the 3 game mini plan offered on Huskers.com - better seats (as in lower rows- 55-) rather than the row 79-90 seats I had last year.  Still north end zone, but I may be able to use the lower rows with my mobility issues - if I remember to exchange them in time.

still trying to decide if I should use the bus again or try for disabled parking on 14th and Vine. That would at least be a closer walk than getting dropped off by the Lied Center by the bus.  Ah, decisions, decisions.  I'm just glad my hubby is willing to be nice about my going to some games - he is definitely not a sports fan but he's ok with me going by myself instead of dragging him along to be totally bored or fidgety (he does not do well in crowds)

I think i'm in the 130s range of games.    I'd have to look but think I'm in the 70s range of stadia.

likely will hit up the B1G CCG game (again).  still scouting schedule(s) for others.
