You're so Chicago lol. I've been to Chicago a bunch, especially growing up we used to go every year since it was only a 4 hr drive or so- and have to admit I've never tried one of those chicago beef sandwiches before.

If you're ever in Ft. Lauderdale- check this place out- it's called Cafe Martorano's and it is definitely one of the best Italian-American restaurants in the country. It's on Oakland Park Blvd right over the bridge to the barrier island and it's right next to CVS in that same shopping center. There's always celebrities and athletes in there, Dan Marino, Dennis Rodman, Joe Montana, Fat Joe, Jamie Foxx, Shaq- someone is always hanging in there- it's a completely ridiculous place with mafia shit all over the walls and tv's playing mafia movies, disco balls in the ceilings and a DJ booth near the kitchen where the ridiculous looking tatted up 'roided up plastic surgeried up owner/chef will start DJ'ing music after like 10pm. Place has some insane prices- but the food is very good- and the philly cheese steak is honestly the best I've ever had in my life. Atmosphere is weird, prices are insane, but the food is very good.

What is this Tee Time you speak of?

Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.

Well... I did live there for 53 years. So, there's that.

As for The Beef... once you try one you will never eat another Philly again. :96:

If you are not from Chicago, then they will punish you by dunking that thing into the "juice" for a good six or seven seconds.

Personally I like a nice toasted bun, not one that has the consistency of wet tissue paper.

That's why you have it on garlic bread.

I don't think that garlic bread would hold up very well to a 5+ second "juice" dunking.

I used to go to TPC every year when we lived in Jax.  Very cool!
