I didn't believe that to be the case. They were too injured at that point in the season. Very ripe for the upset that happened. The rest I agree with. He does have something to sell. There is a trophy in the case. Don't get too attached to it. :96:
I wish Iowa played the Badgers on Thanksgiving weekend.
Though, it probably wouldn't have mattered.  Iowa is hexed and can't.get.over.the.hump.

I'm not sure what would compel him to come out and say this stuff. Kinda makes him look bitter. Not sure why he would be.
Fleck coached with Kill and for him. I could see a bit of angst when a guy you know is that dismissive.
Granted, almost every coach comes in and acts like they reinvented the wheel, overstating the dire nature of things (and fans carry it on).

I am too, but that's mostly because I despise the guy he was talking about.

Kill also struggled to beat wisky..... I can see why you'd be sad.

it is also about buying time.   If you say everything was great, the expectations is wins will happen immediately.   Kill, whom I've always liked as a coach, comes off as very bitter with how strong his opinion.   He also has been around long enough to know the fired coach takes a lot of blame, regardless of fault.

He never beat Wisconsin. Ever. But I'm not sure Brutus is happy about this. I'd think he would have been rooting for the Goophs.

For all the comments about Kill coming across as “bitter,” how else is Kill to address his old job without mentioning the PhDouche now treating it like a obnoxious campaign?

The Badgers were going to stomp a mud hole in the Gophers last Thanksgiving weekend, too.
Yes, Fleck is a loudmouthed used car salesman. But this time, he's got something to sell.
G-Rock was lurking?
Or does an alarm go off when the Gophers are slammed by a Badger?

Kill did well. Let Fleck do what Fleck does. He is over the top. If Minnesota's AD accepts boat oars on helmets - - less power to them -- more to Fleck individually.

I’m reading that Weasels are natural enemies Gophers and will drive Gophers from their prairie lands. Maybe Kill is asking us to understand him in that light?
