that's how it works, the right guy calls in and the tech says, "OK" and flips the switch

They're busy working on your profile that they can send to your friends at the IRS

Got roped into helping someone move (too old for this shit). When it became clear that the plan was not as solidified as I would hope, Laid down a hard line that I wanted to be personally done in time to swing out to Badger bar for the game.

Priorities.
Think of it as aerobics carrying items up/down staircases. Ya years ago a bunch of pubsters would get together and help others move. This one couple had like 7-8 months to prep/pack so when the 3 pick ups pulled in they'd be set to go.Even one guy brought his truck w/lift gate for appliances.Pull in and they hadn't done shit.Well they got an ear full and we moved all the big items in 3 hrs. All the small things were left to them we could have took had they been ready

My wife and I painted our basement this past spring.

While I could tolerate the painting part, it was all the other stuff that was awful. In particular, removing wallpaper from an alcove. Blech.

Gophers are off this week. First non football weekend since mid August. Some of the weekend will be spent puppy-proofing the house. But it's a gorgeous weekend here in MSP, so we'll be enjoying that.

they have your internet line tapped

The Communications Assistance for law Enforcement Act (CALEA) is a statute enacted by Congress in 1994 to require that telecommunications carriers and manufacturers of telecommunications equipment design their equipment, facilities, and services to ensure that they have the necessary surveillance capabilities to comply with legal requests for information. CALEA is intended to preserve the ability of law enforcement agencies to conduct electronic surveillance while protecting the privacy of information outside the scope of the investigation. In 2005, the Commission extended coverage of CALEA to include facilities-based broadband Internet access providers and providers of interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service.

Moving here was very difficult for us, physically.  So many boxes for one thing.  I rented a UHaul truck for my "delicates" (wine, stereo gear, etc.).  Then we paid a mover to come later with the heavy stuff, they were good.  I didn't know where we'd put all the boxes of "stuff".  My wife about killed herself unpacking, at one point I insisted we go for a walk, which turned out to be a very good idea.

Duke finally beat FSU, I watched parts and thought FSU would have won without turnovers and poor QB play.  They had three TOs in three plays in the first half. So, Duke is 6-1 and a team about as good it appeared is 1-6.

Wasn't Florida State a preseason top 10?

FSU was #10 preseason, which is a major whiff, the rest of the top ten are doing anywhere from "OK" to really good.  Alabama and Ole Miss were 8 and 9.

FSU is 1-6...

Wisconsin under Fickell has beaten out FSU for a few recruits now. Their poor performance can only help more.

I'd like to see Fickell flip RB Byron Louis, out of American Heritage in Broward County. UW finished #2 to FSU in that one.
