overshadowed in all of this was the play of Buckeye defensive tackles Ty Hamilton and Tyleik Williams. The Longhorns managed a meager 58 rushing yards on 29 carries – that’s 2 yards per attempt – despite an offensive line that was a Joe Moore Award finalist. The defensive line, with linebackers Cody Simon and Sonny Styles, has propelled the Buckeyes to the No. 2 run defense in college football at just 2.7 yards per attempt.

That playcalling series at the end with UT first and goal from the 1 or 2 yard line will live in infamy, but the story behind that microcosm was UT's RT getting whupped all night by OSU's end.  That play was waiting to happen, and it finally did.  And it wasn't the only time that guy got home.  At what point do you consider sticking a TE over there to help?  I know it's not what you want to do, but you have to try something.  The guy was just outmatched all night, and Texas let the thing ride.

They also let Ewers ride. It was almost like the Michigan method.. Keep him in there and just hope he doesn't screw up so bad he costs the game. Only difference is Michigan didn't having Arch Manning rotting on the bench for no reason. If I'm an OSU fan, I'm thankful every day Ewers bailed on OSU. Howard is a far better option.

Ohio State is the first team to ever win the Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl in the same season.
