honestly might’ve been the best thing to happen to them. 

After that loss they could just relax and go cut it loose and try to win a Natty and take out the anger and aggression on everyone else. 

As long as they can run the ball for 160+ a game like they are right now in the playoff and as long Howard is attempting under 30 passes a game like he is and connecting on some big chunk plays to his stud WRs and as long as that defense is creating havoc and controlling the LoS like it has been the last two games- they are almost unbeatable. 

Texas has a LEGIT OL and DL though. They present challenges with the big boys upfront that Tennessee and Oregon do not imo. They are a much more legit stronger team along both sides of the LoS than either Tennessee or Oregon. 

Still think Ohio State should win by about a td, but hey wtf do I know. I could see Texas pulling off the upset- especially if Ewers gets a hot hand. And that’s the thing about Ewers- you really don’t know which guy you’re gonna get. He runs very hot and cold. But when he’s hot- man he can sling it and just torch you. And when he’s not- man it can look fugly.

tale of the game will be which Quinn Ewers shows up. I just don’t trust him to bring his A game. In that first half at home vs Bama before he got decapitated he was DEALING. The next year he went on the road vs Bama in Tuscaloosa at night and ripped them. He went on the road to Ann Arbor this year and just shredded Michigan. Those were 3 defenses loaded with NFL draft picks everywhere and he was just shredding them all like mozzarella. 

He’s got legit high end arm talent, the kid was the #1 player and #1 QB in the nation as a recruit for a reason when he signed with Ohio State. We’ve seen him shine in moments vs top competition- just haven’t seen enough of it consistently. Right now if the draft was today he’s probably a 3rd Rd pick- but if he rips Ohio State and then ND/PSU and wins a Natty that’ll flip to top 10ish pick. If he struggles mightily vs Ohio State wonder if they’ll unleash Arch and if Ewers winds up staying in college and transferring somewhere else.

Texas will defend against Jeremiah Smith by SENDING THE HOUSE against Howard.  Best way to cut off a WR- get the QB.  

Let’s see if Ohio State is ready for that.  I am skeptical. 

A 1 in 3 chance of winning is quite low.  The majority of mediots and talking heads are picking Ohio State, and some like Colin Cowhered predicting a blowout.  It's reminiscent of the complete lack of respect given to Texas in the 2006 Rose Bowl

It won't be a blow out either way, my concern is still the O-Line staying healthy. And Texas may have the best Defensive backfield in all of CFB. I had the Longhorns back as did most of the CFB world did then with USC being spoilt children,so stop is the woe are we vs a 2 loss Buckeye squad with a thin offensive line . Texas will be coming after Howard. Howard will be handing off to the RBs to keep the heat off - WR Emeka Egbuka will need a big game as Smith will have a posse covering him.That he certainly is capable of whoever wins this game takes the hardware IMHO. The offensive scheme has been changed since laying an egg at home vs the evil doers hope it's close like the Gawja game 2 yrs prior - with a different outcome of course
