Sometimes I think this recruiting thing has a lot of overthinking to it. Two kids from the same HS on the 1st team All B1G list. Both unheralded. Spielman was headed to Ohio state for Lacrosse. Connelly (used to work with his dad) was leaning toward small D3 liberal arts college before deciding to walk-on at Wisconsin.

I though both could be very successful with a power 5 program after watching each of them a couple times.

They may not have had the best numbers, measurables, or graded the highest at a Nike non-padded summer camp. But, when they put the pads on Friday night they they were gamers and passed the eye test.

Too many Buckeyes.

Should be the player that most exceeds expectations.

I'd have put Khaleke Hudson on the first team, but that's just me. That is a bad man right there. He'll wind up being a better college defensive player than Jabrill Peppers was imo.

what i gather from this is either a) there are a bunch of wisk homers here (looking at you badger), or b) wisk will be a really good team.

3 oline and the stud rb, plus 4 on first team d at all levels, and a kicker to boot. that's a solid base to build around.

UW is going to be very good this season.

3 of the returning OL were AA last season and would have been drafted.

I've been saying all offseason this is the most talented Wisconsin team ever.  Last year was less talented, but had one of the friendliest schules you could ask for, in avoiding OSU, PSU and MSU as crossovers; and getting their four toughest games (UM, Iowa, Purdue and NW) all at home.  That now flips, all 4 of those are road games, and they trade out Maryland for Penn State as a crossover.  So we'll see how more talent but a much harder schedule balances out.

I dunno I'm thinking Felton Davis is one of the top 4 receivers in the BIG
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.
