They are very talented and a great team
but, it's easier to dominate when that talent is pointed in the right direction
Michigan is a very veteran, talented, and deep team.
At the end of the day it has ALWAYS been and ALWAYS will be all about the Jimmy's and the Joe's. Not the X's and the O's. You can have the best X's and O's strategist in the world- if your players fcking suck....well you're going to fcking suck.
Michigan is a very experienced team that is also loaded right now with future NFL draft picks. Usually the team with the most of those tends to win the most...
QB - JJ is a future NFL draft pick. Potentially 1st rd.
RB - Blake Corum & Donovan Edwards. Future NFL draft picks.
WR - Roman Wilson- playing himself into NFL draft pick + will run 4.3 at combine
TE - Colston Loveland & AJ Barner - both looking like NFL draft picks- especially Loveland
OL - Zak Zinter, Trevor Keegan, Karsen Barnhart, LaDarius Henderson, and Drake Nugent - could all be drafted. Zinter and Keegan will both be drafted fairly high.
DT - Kris Jenkins, Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant - all going to be round 1-2 NFL draft picks
LB - Junior Colson & Ernest Hausmann - both going to be NFL draft picks- and probably fairly high
EDGE - All four of them are future NFL draft picks- Jaylen Harrell, Braiden McGregor, Derrick Moore, and Josiah Stewart
CB - Will Johnson = future top 10 pick, Mike Sainistril = future NFL draft pick nickel
S - Rod Moore & Makari Paige = future NFL draft picks. RS Frosh Keon Sabb already looking like a....future NFL draft pick
Michigan should have 12-15 players drafted in 2023. That's a
shit ton. And they possibly could have even more then that. Wouldn't surprise me to see 2-4 of those in the 1st rd. JJ + Donovan have the physical traits/talent/tools NFL teams look for at their positions and JJ has been climbing with his play and Edwards has very little wear and tear on his body in terms of volume of carries and is an absolute freak with elite receiving skills. Zak Zinter and Kris Jenkins will both make serious push for the 1st rd as well.
