Teams win with backups all the time. This runs a lot deeper than losing one player.

Also, pretty sure Edwards didn't come back because he wants another year somewhere else.
This is true, if you have, I don't know, Arch Manning as your backup and he's not QB4.

The problem is that QB1 for UW this year would be QB2 at most B1G schools.

Dood got spooked out of Maryland by a true freshman.

I'm sure that we can agree that the results of this season, including the game on Saturday, are an indictment of the current coaching staff.

Absolutely.

And the AD for being cheap.

And the Chancellor who won't fire said AD.

And the largest booster who wants to keep all of them.

The only game in New Brickhouse history where the atmosphere was anything like Saturday was the Vikings game 8 days after this incident. Frankly, I'd also put it on par with U2 during a massive thunderstorm. And the Vikings had better traction on the field in that 2010 blizzard than anyone had on Saturday.

Just getting around to typing some thoughts from Saturday:

-I'm still thawing out. Even by our nonexistent standards it was insanely cold. Also, it's one of the few games I've ever seen outside of Buffalo where the snow stayed intense from well before the game to well afterwards. It was a very slow trip to and from campus.

-I realize that passing was very hard to do. Still, why was there no urgency at all on the Wisconsin offense when they were moving the ball in the middle of the 4th quarter down 2 scores?

Hope we don't end up in Detroit AGAIN.

The better team did not win, and that's shitty.
The better team did win Saturday afternoon.

You are wrong.
You must have been watching the grounds crew keeping the sidelines and hash marks clear during every stoppage in play. In that case, I fully agree. They were the best team on the field.

Not to get off the subject,  but was anybody else confused when watching the snow games on Sat,  what was real and what was a computer projection,  when it came to the yard markers, the yard lines, lines and hash marks?

You can win with a 3rd string QB.
