We're supposed to go over to the BIL's house later. But it turns out one of the packages I ordered yesterday morning is going to already be out for delivery this afternoon, and requires a signature...

Guess I'll just have to stay home and watch football.
Darn.

What I heard while getting out of bed this morning:
“Wisconsin, who rejected my boy, can go F>€# themselves.”

And so it begins…

I've seen dualing reviews on Omaha steaks, so I've never ordered any.  We have a good, if expensive, butcher shop near us, and I find Costco beef to be quite good, so I've stuck with the known.  The stuff has gotten really $$$$$$$.

The UGA offense had shown some life of late until yesterday, Tech seemed to be doing a great job with coverage of the WRs and TEs.  Every team has some warts that can show up unexpectedly.  My GUESS is OSU takes care of business and gets that 1 seed in thhe CFP.  My guess is Indiana falls to 5, if the lose in the CG.  UGA would get the 2 if they win their CG, I don't know how far they will or should fall with an L.  The ACC champ is going to be ... 9+ I suspect.  Texas Tech could get 3 and maybe Indiana snags 4.

Waking up late after not sleeping well all week.

Had to answer several on-call situations between watching football games yesterday.

Missed Georgia’s win over Georgia Tech. Arch Manning is playing up to his hype and led Texas to a solid win over Texas A&M. And my Arizona Wildcats let Arizona State hang around well into the second half before finally pulling away for a 23-7 win to conclude an unexpectedly successful 9-3 season.

One hour from the big kickoff!

My son and wife were pulling for A&M yesterday b/c they accepted him.

I do understand, but it's not like Texas rejected him... He didn't even apply to UT.

In other news, we have an actual Michigan ornament on the tree. I had forgotten that my wife bought it when we took my son to Ann Arbor [buying ornaments on travel is one of our things]. I took a picture of it and sent it to my Wolverine buddy with the caption "I feel dirty".

I've noticed that my Costco has been carrying "American Wagyu" steaks. I've bought them twice now, and they're very good. They are by no means marbled like actual real Japanese A5 Wagyu, but they also aren't as expensive as real Japanese A5 Wagyu.

When I bought the filets for Steaksgiving, I ended up with the American Wagyu as Costco only had that or USDA Choice, and the marbling on the American Wagyu was FAR more extensive than on the Choice steaks. They were moderately more expensive, but not so much that there was any reason to try to save a few bucks given that we were having guests... They were tender and delicious, with the marbling providing more flavor than you typically get from a filet.

Omaha steaks are good, just too expensive
I don't buy 'em.
These were a gift from my financial advisor.  I recommended him to some friends of mine and they opened up an account.
