I'm recently realizing the variability of having 6-8 legit independent programs may have been a key to college football being so great.  The bowl mix of some holes being filled by traditional conference champions + top-end indies plugging in here and there was great.

So basically the thing I've been doing for 20 years here with every prior version of the postseason.

Yeah.

I was just distracting myself from printing and cutting.

My kids are now at the age where showing them movies I enjoyed is fun. Back to the Future, should have just been a one-off. I thought I remembered the sequels being okay, but they are not

A distinct memory I have of bowls if how teams would be selected with a fairly large disparity in ranking.  You could see #8 play #22 at times, because of the conference thing usually.  The Peach Bowl would get the second ACC team while they might have the #6 or so SEC opponent.

One could see #1 play #4, while #2 played #7, and #3 played #5, and so on.

I never even told my kids there were sequels. Either 2 or 3 popped up on a Netflix search a while back and my son asked me "what is that?"  I replied, "Nothing."

I enjoyed the 3rd movie, the western.  I did not know at the time that a Clint Eastwood movie had done the same thing that Marty McFly did with wearing the bullet proof poncho.  That makes a lot more sense why McFly was calling himself Clint Eastwood,  so they were openly acknowledging they were ripping off an idea from a Clint Eastwood movie,  and also explains where Marty got the idea from.  Good thing in both movies that nobody shot at their face.

I enjoyed the part of the 2nd movie that tried to predict what future tech would be like.  Funny how can they could get it both so right and so wrong all at the same time.  Got pretty close predicting the Cubs would win the 2015 world series.  Just off by 1 year.

Unfortunately the plot of the 2nd movie was pure garbage,  and once they left the future,  it was a complete mess.

That may have been on purpose.  Dicking around with time travel would create a complete mess, full stop.
