1) Ohio State - Not totally polished, but coming along
2) Penn State - Strongly considered for #1
3) Michigan - Won't know for awhile how good they are
4) Purdue - Probably the best in the West
5) Minnesota - Like Michigan we won't know much for awhile
6) Michigan State - easy win
7) Wisconsin - Lost a game they would win without a million mistakes
8) Rutgers - easy win
9) Maryland - easy win
10) Illinois - nice bounceback.  Contender in the West
11) Iowa - defense is too good to go lower
12) Northwestern - usually the noon starts in Evanston put the other team to sleep
13) Indiana - only moving up because...
14) Nebraska - destroyed our eliminator poll

1  Michigan-
2.  OSU the ND win looks less now

3.  Minnesota -best of the west so far, no test until MSU on the road
4.  Maryland - their O is for real
5.  MSU- taking care of business
6.  PSU solid
7.  Purdue
8.  Wisconsin -OL needs to get better
9.  Indiana- slow start in the rain
10.  Rutgers-no longer the door mat
11. Illinois - the fighting Berts!

12.  Iowa- strong defense
13.  Northwestern -  Duke?  are they playing basketball
14.  Nebraska eliminator of the elimination game

middle tier is a roll the dice to where they'll land, and is closer to the bottom than the top

the West is really down this year

1) Ohio State - did nothing to lose top spot but the big W vs ND doesn’t look so big anymore
2) Michigan - The era of JJ is upon us…Michigan will only get better with him
3) Penn State - very solid team all the way around- vet Clifford is a steady hand and leader
4) Michigan State - looking a lot better early than I thought they would
5) Purdue - best in the west right now probably
6) Wisconsin - think they’ll get it together and move up this ranking- call it a hunch
7) Minnesota - not tested but look good
8) Maryland - who knows- may be fools gold but look pretty solid
9) Iowa - rock solid D & STs, zero offense
10) Rutgers - think they’ve improved significantly but we’ll find out soon.
11) Illinois - meh
12) Northwestern - Lol
13) Indiana - yawn
14) Nebraska - self explanatory

  • Ohio State - Beat their cupcake as expected.
  • Michigan - JJ is definately an upgrade at QB. However, will not know for some time how good or bad they are until they play someone with a pulse.
  • Penn State - Looked good against their cupcake.
  • Michigan State - Same
  • Minnesota - Same
  • Purdue - Same
  • Maryland - Same
  • Wisconsin - Play calling seems to be an issue. Let Wash St. hang around too long and paid the price. They need to establish their dominance with their O-Line early and wear down weaker opponents. Not sure they get that.
  • Illinois - Beat a bad Va team.
  • Rutgers - Can't say that I've ever heard of Wagner, but they made Rutger look good.
  • Iowa - Ahead of Indiana only because of their Defense. If I was a coach with an offense this bad, I would take a knee for 3 downs and punt and hope the Defense can score.
  • Indiana - Problems with Idaho does not bode well for them when the conf schedule kicks off.
  • Northwestern - They did beat Nebraska head to head, so they stay out of the bottom spot.
  • Nebraska - The coaching search begins.

01. Michigan Wolverines (2-0) - Last years champs continue to mow down underdog opposition.
02. Ohio State Buckeyes (2-0) - ND win looking very sus.

03. Penn State Nittany Lions (2-0) - didn't see this game, no reason to drop them.

04. Minnesota Golden Gophers (2-0) - umm, yah I know the opponent wasn't anything; but WOW. (what I would expect from OSU...)
05. Michigan State Spartans (2-0) - Defense looking stout

06. Maryland Terrapins (2-0) - early season darlings, let's see how they in conference.

07. Rutgers Scarlet Knights (2-0) - what am I thinking, putting Rutgers this high? But how the teams below them have played I'd pick the Knights.

08. Purdue Boilermakers (1-1) - should contend for the west

09. Indiana Hoosiers (2-0) - down 10 to Idaho at half, not impressive
10. Illinois Fighting Illini (2-1) - nice looking win
11. Wisconsin Badgers (1-1) - I expect Wisconsin to move up, but if they keep playing this poor it's gonna be a rough year.

12. Iowa Hawkeyes (1-1) - Hey! They scored a touchdown....

13. Northwestern Wildcats (1-1) - Duke made the kitties look bad.

14. Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-2) - So bad they fired their coach.

I want to flip Penn St and Sparty. I think Penn St has better roster probably but James Franklin is their coach. Mel Tucker is a much better coach than Franklin.

I am not doing this- because Medina gets mad at me.

having said that:  What has Michigan done? Clubbed 2 HORRIBLE teams that may be among the 2-3 worst teams in FBS?
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
