Yep....yawner.
I don't know much what to take from that for either team, other than I hope Purdue's WR is okay. Purdue was missing so much of its regular season makeup, that probably can't be counted as the same team. Our team is so young we only had a few opt-outs. The D-line was newish, but LSU pretty much fielded its regular team.
I could be wrong about this, but I thought I heard Sage Ryan (defender) say something to the Purdue WR who got hurt that was pretty not-good while getting up. Obviously before he knew the guy was injured, but it doesn't matter. If he said what I think he said, there's no place for that. That particular level of mouthiness may be a holdover from the Orgeron era and may slowly go away, but one thing I'd like to see change in our culture is that our DBs have been mouthy for years when they make a play, and I hope that gets better with a coach bigger on discipline. I'm fine with waving your arms, or wagging the index finger in a uh-uh, no-no kind of way, but the jawing at opposing players has been too much for our dbs for a while now.
