Checking in from the East River Flats. Great morning for a tailgate. 

Chicago-style pizza depends on who you're getting it from. Giordano's is baked casserole. Lou Malnati's is FANTASTIC. The crust is a lot more rigid than the others. 

Someone who intends to take a lot of my money opened a Jet's Pizza three miles from my house. They have the Detroit-style square deep dish. It is delicious. It reheats really well, too.

The East River Flats are as pretty off a place as their is to tailgate anywhere in the Big Ten.

Like BBQ or chili, Pizza ought not be a zero sum discussion.   Having said, that Chicago style ain't pizza.  It can be a tasty meal though.
