Just need someone to plug them in.  Hoage was nominated earlier.  There's also Lott or Easley.

But I like our all-decade team to not necessarily be a existent, consensus-type thing.  Some alternative, worthy players + some homerism.

It's great.

I know Bo Schembechler got a lot of grief for never winning it all, but as a program, Pitt is the #1 "how did you never win a NC" in the country, by far.
You mean besides the NC Pitt won in 1976?  With Tony Dorsett at RB and Johny Major as the coach?
We are all equal but some are more equal than others.

Um 1976,Johnny Majors and Tony Dorsett send you an invitation to read up on that year in CFB History

I guess they "should have" won more than that one, which was from out of left field.  Thanks for the correction.

They went 33-3 from 79-81 and didn't win a NC.  Their all-time individual players would suggest more than one NC.

Alright, fine. You made me add Tim Brown. And to even that out, I would have added an SC guy at Safety, but OAM beat me to the punch.
I thought about Ronnie Lott, but ruled him out because half of is time with SC was in the 70s.
Looks like we still need a guard and a kicker.

Looking at the annual AA teams and award winners....you could make 3-4 REALLY good teams from the 80s.
Based on not knowing if other decades seem similar at all, I'd say it has good depth, lol.

I've now seen 2 separate videos calling him "Michael Irving" - both of ESPN.

I'm worried that'll be his name 50 years from now, officially.

And Mark Carrier was a DUDE, for sure.
Hoage had a 12-INT season, tho.

One guy who NEVER gets mentioned is a DT from USC - Tim Ryan.  Dude had 20 sacks one year.  But no one seems to care.
