Wisconsin deserves the Rose Bowl.  We'll see if they get what they deserve.

Mmmmmm, modest moral victory.

Can UW sign up for Cotten Bowl vs Memphis? Or some other NY6 vs whoever other teams don't want?
Should be in the Rose Bowl. I'd be really surprised if they are not.

I'm tired of Ohio State. Screw 'em.

Bed time.

Any chance OSU gets moved down to #3?

ESPN is campaigning for LSU to be #1, beating 5 top 10 teams. (Although 3 of those 5 teams are no longer in the top 10...)
Clemson (defending champions) has spanked their last 6 opponents by 30 plus points.

OSU just survived their last 3 games.

OU the other champ, but has 1 loss.

First no, no chance. Clemson is about to become the first team to ever make the CFP without a top-25 win, they aren't jumping a team that has four or five (depending on if Cincy drops out).

Second, the only difference is Jersey color. The #2 seed wears home jerseys.

Survived 3 teams better than anyone Clemson played.

I agree, but Minnesota would be a nice story.  I think Wisconsin is more deserving aside from that.

I'm not so sure Penn St is "less deserving" than Wisconsin.

Their loss to Minnesota was a "better loss" than Wisconsin's loss to the Illini.

Against OSU they only lost by 11, whereas Wisconsin lost first by 31 and then by 13.

The conference obviously has three teams "deserving" of the RB.  That will be interesting.

From the Milwaukee paper.

It was going to be a fairly sober postgame media gathering anyway after Wisconsin's 34-21 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship, but it was made all the quieter without Chris Orr.

The Badgers play-making and vocal linebacker wasn't available after he left the Big Ten championship game Saturday in the second quarter with a head injury, a loss that looked more and more critical as the game wore on. The Badgers had already lost outside linebacker Noah Burks in the first quarter before losing Orr, as well.

"He was able to come back out on the field after taking his pads off and stuff," said Badgers linebacker Zack Baun, who finished with a sack in the game to break a tie with Orr for the team lead in sacks, now at 12½.

"He's a leader when he's on the field, and it's just different."

Burks was lost for the game with a leg injury on Ohio State's first offensive drive on the game, when the Badgers were able to stop the Buckeyes on fourth down. In the second quarter, Garrett Rand and Chris Orr both left the field with what appeared to be head injuries; Rand came back in short order, but Orr was done for the night.

All true, but the idea that UW is more deserving than PSU is strictly ignoring the context and setup of the divisions.  PSU happens to be in the same division as OSU, so they're less deserving.
Hogwash.
.
Wisconsin lost worse to OSU (as you said) and a much worse other loss (as you said).  We can ignore the game in Indy and avoid punishing UW for having to play the game.
.
By any measure aside from 'who was higher in the standings', PSU "deserves" the Rose Bowl more.

Didn't see any of the night games, but condolences to the Badgers and congrats to the Buckeyes.  Sounds like Wisconsin was way up but tOSU mounted a comeback?  I bet that was some high drama around here.
