I also disagree with the downplaying of 10 degree colder a little further north. 

I think at least my comment is that it's not as if the Vols are from Florida.  They are much more used to cold weather than the Canes obviously, so weather should be less of a factor that it might have been.  It's possible the Vols practice outside in unusually warm weather and then encounter 25°F in Columbus and find it off putting, and the reverse is also possible.  It might be cold in Knoxville the week leading up to the game and then 45°F in Columbus when the game starts.

I think the coldest official temperature in the state of Ohio was in Cincinnati, but I'm not sure about that.

I was more using it as a means to complain about cold weather in cleveland than to actually take a shot at your comment. My bad if it came across that way Cincy.. I'm a baby in gloomy, crappy weather of cleveland this time of year. And 10 degrees for me is a game changer. I got spoiled living overseas when the low was 76-78 ever day and the high was 87-90 every day and was only cloudy during rainy season, but it was at hot, not driving on ice rinks. 

really think the cold weather pansies stuff strictly applies to the Florida teams. it gets cold in the South everywhere except for Florida and more specifically South Florida.

It’s extremely rare but temps can get as low into the high 30’s and low 40’s late at night and very early in the morning but even then by the time the sun is out and 10-11am it’s right back to 70 on those days. Lowest temps in winter are usually 50’s late at night very early morning then right back to 75-80 during the day. Absolutely love it. Fuck the cold.
