WEEK TWO
Saturday, September 12
ESPN College Gameday, live from Austin, TX
#1 OHIO STATE d. #6 Texas
Hooray!

FWIW, Ohio State's history with Texas:
  • September 10, 2005:  #2 Texas 25, #4 Ohio State 22 - in Columbus; Texas led series 1-0
  • September 9, 2006:  #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 - in Austin; tied 1-1
  • January 5, 2009:  #3 Texas 24, #10 Ohio State 21 - Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, AZ; Texas led series 2-1
  • January 10, 2025:  #5 Texas 14, #8 Ohio State 28 - CFP Semi-Final at the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX; tied 2-2
  • August 30, 2025:  #1 Texas 7, #3 Ohio State 14 - in Columbus; Ohio State leads series 3-2

This has been a fascinating series of very highly ranked teams playing very high-stakes games.  Two of the five winners won the NC that year (TX-05, tOSU-24).  All five games have been close.
