Anyone gonna watch?

What sports interest you?

I like hockey, luge, bobsled, speed skating and some of the skiing. Not sure how much I'll get to watch.

I'll watch.   It's live sports.

Unless there's another sport on like basketball

I love the winter Olympics, I prefer it over the summer games (which I also enjoy).

My favorites are Alpine/downhill skiing, speed skating, bobsled, luge, ski jumping, freestyle skiing and snowboarding events (big air, slopestyle, etc.), and ice hockey.

I avoid figure skating and its even worse cousin, ice dancing.

If it's judged, then by my definition, it's not a sport at all.  You could call it an athletic competition I suppose.

They are athletes for sure.

Curling? That's a game, like golf.

For anyone interested, here's a link to a doc with the full schedule of televised Olympic events, across NBC's various channels.  It's a little weird formatting because it's made to be printed and read as separate pages.

I don't like sports when you are racing the clock, and IMO that's too much of the winter Olympics.  You watch 30 people ski down a hill one at a time, and they all look essentially the same, unless they totally screw up.  Then the top 20 are all within like 0.8 seconds of each other.

That's why I prefer the summer games, everyone in the pool, or on the track at once.  I do like some of the cross events.  I'll watch hockey now that it's best on best again, and not a weird combination of minor leaguers and former players.

I'll watch figure skating because my wife likes it, but it's not my favorite.  I don't care about the judging inasmuch as I don't know enough to know what to look for in the tricks.  Same with any of the ski and snowboarding pipes/jumps.

I do enjoy curling

I liked curling when I did it. I'm not a fan of watching it though.

Good drinking game.

I actually like the mixed doubles version better.  I think it was just added at the 2022 games?
