This is one of those things that I think is underappreciated by football fans. We overweight objective things like stats / wins for players while underweighting the degree to which being part of a trash organization limits a player. 

Football is a team sport. If a player doesn't have the surrounding cast necessary to succeed, it doesn't matter how talented they are. And that includes the OC/DC, not just the other 10 guys on the field at any given time. We've all seen players fail because the scheme was rigid and didn't put them in a position for success. 

Speaking of the Browns in particular, just look at Baker Mayfield. Almost got run out of the league being part of that org. But it wasn't a lack of talent. It was a trash organization that failed him. Once he left he got chances to prove himself and now he's kicking ass in Tampa. 

I have no faith that Josh Allen would be "Josh Allen" if he'd ended up in Cleveland.

Organizational stability, structure, and situation matter. Most especially for a QB.

They should have everything they need offensively, and they're not very good offensively...

It’s uncomfortable watching Daniel Jones play right now and not just because he’s not a great QB and the Colts aren’t very good. He’s clearly not fully “back” from a major injury and it just doesn’t look like he should be playing. Every dropback looks like that Achilles is ready to pop again.

Being a Browns fan is a lot like being a Purdue fan.

I really disliked Dan Quinn going for it before the half, and it likely cost him his QB for yet another year.  

To be clear, I didn't like it before the injury.  I think in the NFL, you generally take the points unless you're forced to go for it at the end of a game.  You're moving the ball well, your QB is playing well, and you get the ball to start the second half.  You don't have to try to tie it up at the half.  Take the 3 points and go to the locker room down 4.  Again, you get the ball next.  

The fact that he screwed his team for the rest of the year just compounds a poor decision to a disastrous one.  

As for Daniels himself.....I don't know how many times you can injure the same joint before the league decides despite your potential, you just can't play in this league.  He's going to find himself having been a productive player, who is out of a job.
