It was somewhat in response to something our Purdue friend said about non-playoff things feeling worthless. Which is a matter of one’s own perspective, not changing the game. 

I’ll be honest, I was scanning, so it’s not in the flow of the rest of the thread. Don’t mind folks bothered by the churn. I find it a little funny because fans have historically wanted change when things are actually happening, but a level of (unrealistic) predictability year-over-year.

While the transfer portal window for underclassmen closed at 11:59 p.m. local time Saturday, compliance offices have 48 hours to process the paperwork. That means players could still technically enter before midnight on Monday.

Other exceptions to the main window include the small after a season ends, graduate transfers, and coaching changes. Players have five days after their season, including the bowl game, to enter, which means Nebraska players have through Thursday. Grad transfers operate under a different set of rules and can enter the portal at anytime. And if a program undergoes a coaching change, players have 30 days to make their decisions.

Are these players signing contracts when they accept NIL money? The articles I don't say what the reason is for the hold up.
Kadyn Proctor attended spring semester at Iowa and I suspect was paid NIL money and then transferred back to Alabama. The schools had better get contracts when they handout NIL money.

Is it assumed that these are all 'additions.' as in the # of widgets moving from L to R?   Or is this some evaluation of the widgets moving?

Just 'cuz you have a new kid at your school, doesn't make it an 'addition.'
