Forgot to mention earlier that I liked the new Uber Eats commercial in the SB with Matthew McConaughey and Bradley Cooper.

Green Bay and the Packers also have history and a curious ownership structure on their side. Good luck, Iowa.

The Californians keep rooting for their teams after they move to different cities.

Green Bay would not have a team had George Halas not "bankrolled" and advocated for them early on.

Is Newsweek considered a reputable news source?  This article sounds like twitter bulljive, but it's in Newsweek, so...?

Hmmm, also reading through it, sounds like their original source is Boomer Esiason, so I'm even more dubious...

Legit.

Not really asking if they're biased, more like, asking if they do any actual fact-checking anymore?

Anyway, didn't mean to derail the thread on a discussion of the quality of Newsweek's reporting.

If Boomer's statements (and math) that were quoted in the article are true, that's pretty shocking, IMO.

Don't know if it's legit, but the explanation of how much he paid, and why, made no sense to me.  Neither Boomer nor the article articulated that very well.

Esiason then argued that the NFL Players Association should refuse to allow its players to play the Super Bowl in California moving forward.
“If I’m the NFLPA, I’m like, ‘Hey, we’re not playing any more Super Bowls in California,” he said. “We’re just not doing it.”
---------------------------------------------------
For as much coin the NFLPA reels in this should have been on the table a while back.
Hard to feel bad for the  NFL when they priced their bread & butter - the working stiffs right the hell out of the park yrs ago.On the other hand so has Cali and their ridiculous fruit cakes that run that produce stand with pretty much every thing. But since the players have a shelf life and the demon seeds like Pelosi and Newsome who were related by marraige and still by mindset seemingly don't,I'd give the nod to the Players

As Churhill stated"If Herr Hitler invaded Hell, I would make at least a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons"
“Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for that shit”. - George Carlin
