Down here in Texico we're used to shows or conversations being 100% in Spanish.  We really have no idea what all of you yankees are going on about.

pregame, halftime, postgame - I've little to no interest
I watch the game

someone feels the need for a flyover, the national anthem, something at the half to fill time (Marching band, dogs catching Frisbees)
if anyone wants to care about that stuff, fine.  I don't.

I'm 47. I know the halftime show isn't chosen based on what my musical tastes are. They're not giving it to Rush.

I just assume it's going to be somebody I barely know playing music I've never heard.

That way, when they have a show that for whatever reason actually interests me, I can be pleasantly surprised. Rather than surly and complain 3 out of every 4 years because they play some pop artist.

Ugh.

I cut it off after the 3rd quarter.  I'm all for great defenses--love that, actually--but Collinsworth can just settle down, Beavis.....great defense is one thing, but vomit-level offense is another.

Both of those QBs missed so many open guys.  Maye moreso than Darnold, that I could see, but there were a lot of available plays for both.  {Insert capable QB of whatever era here} would've torched those configurations and either forced the defenses to quit what they were doing, or just play in a shootout.

Big mistake.

Maybe if Rush promised to speak only Canadian, they would get the gig?

No entertainment act or commercial during SB is directed at anybody above the 18-49 demo.

My teenaged girls were like 'it was ok, kinda boring.'

My 79 year old Mom was the only one who immediately recognized Ricky Martin.

I don't know if I'd have recognized him, but I mainly associate him with a girl in the video of his popular song, La Vida Loca.  That chick--I think her name was Nina Moric--belonged in the hotties thread, back at that time, at least.

I can't believe I still remember her name.

Matt Stafford put up 21/38/31 PPG the 3 X the Rams faced Seattle this season

Yeah, I don't think Seattle pressured him like they did Maye, but that leads back to my point....there's a reason they didn't do that.  Stafford and many others would've blistered them for it, and they knew it.

Seattle didn't think the Pats' line could handle their pressure, or that Maye could compensate when they didn't, and they were right in both cases.

There were some pretty decent commercials, I thought.

I liked the State Farm one with Keegan Michael Key and Jon Bon Jovi.  The Alexa commercial with Chris Hemsworth and his wife was pretty funny.

My favorite was the one with all the tight ends advertising the prostate PSA lab test.  Though my wife says that was a bait-and-switch, because the digital rectal exam is still the gold standard, and no doctor is going to recommend against it just because you did a PSA test.  She opined they're trying to get men to go to their doctors thinking no big deal, they won't ask me to bend over, and then once they get there, bam, you got a finger up your bum.  In addition to the lab test.

Well, whatever.  I thought it was funny.

Patriots had 2 rookies on the left side of their line, Seattle could get pressure rushing just 4.  Bad news.

My Chiefs problems are 100% OL issues, both of their Superbowl drubbings came when their OL had been decimated getting there, and that was the case this last season.

Trench Ponies.
