CJ Stroud turned into Carson Wentz before our eyes.  I've never seen a coach say, "I trust our defense to score more than our offense" before that game

Yes.  But kind of hard to tell when your o/line is all back ups or practice squad players, your only 2 legit pass catchers are out, and your running game is virtually nonexistent.

Still- not such a great post season for him.

I mean at this time of year most teams are beat up.  I vant imagine a worse postseason than what he just had.  His defense was elite, he just had to be mediocre.  He was horrible.

True.  But don’t underestimate the challenge.

on the road, terrible weather, and you have to pass to move the ball when the other team knows you are passing, and you have zero WRs capable of getting behind the defense.   Tough ask.
a Better night for him would have been taking many more sacks on purpose.   But- it’s the playoffs.

Bo Nix wound up breaking his ankle on the 2nd to last play, done for the year

That was crazy, and I didn't even know about it until after the game.  I didn't notice anything at the time.....if Nix hobbled off or had to be helped, I must've missed it.

That kind of sucks for the AFCC.....feels like we got the worst of both worlds out of that divisional play-in.  The Bills eliminated themselves by losing, the Broncos may well have eliminated themselves by losing their QB.  I would've much rather seen the Bills take on the Pats than a rudderless Broncos team.

It was bad all the way around.  Stroud had no help in that game, and things are tough on any QB when there's no running game and your OL keeps missing assignments.

Still, his decision-making was brutal, and definitely part of the problem.

Caleb Williams had one of the most insane plays I've ever seen in the NFL.....dude backpedaled with three defenders in his face and then whipped the ball 65 yards for a TD without even stepping into the throw.

....which he then followed up by derping an underthrown ball right into a diving defender in OT.

Brutal ending for Bears fans, but I don't think it matters.  I suspect both of those teams are just lambs for slaughter in Seattle.

Looks like a Seahawks/Pats rematch......we'll see.  Maybe Seattle will run the ball this time.
