Maybe, just maybe, the Guardians are reflecting their predictive metrics?  Particularly considering two of their better pitchers are suspended for gambling on baseball, as is tradition in Ohio.

Theyve lost 2 in a row.  Atlanta has won 4 in a row.  Atlanta has +24 run differential advantage.  Yet Cleveland is 4 games over .500 and Atlanta is 13 games under

The Cleveland monkey paw remains

Pretty sure I jinxed them tonight. Also discovered there’s a new insane lounge underneath the stadium that accompany the ground level seats. Sports are wild nowadays.

I still watch the Braves if I'm bored, I missed them last night, we had a friend over for dinner, which was nice.  They of course have had an almost historic collapse relative to recent years, but at least some of their young pitchers are showing something.  All five opening day starters have been on the DL for weeks, they are about to get one back soonish, maybe.  Their hitting has been most of the problem.

I just listen to the Dodgers on the MLB app on my phone.  I feel as old as you are, enjoying the radio telecasts.

which is mind blowing because they have a great lineup. They are an easy team to root for with a lot of likable guys. Ozuna, Albies and Harris all having down years and Acuna being hurt definitely hasn’t helped them.

Harris started hitting of late, at least.  Acuna is back in the lineup.  The rest of their power hitters are still down, and they had injury after injury, Riley remains out.  None of their season starting pitchers are pitching now (injuries).  One of those years, probably will cost some jobs in the coaching staff.

They did sweep the Indians.  It would be weird if they started winning now.

It's coming, Manfred essentially confirmed it.  I have yet to see a better plan, assuming it's coming.  16 team playoff is also coming.  So 4 division winners, plus next best 4, and hopefully they go to 5-7-7-7.  Baseball is random enough, the fact that it has the shortest series is insane

baseball on radio is wonderful.
The only caveat is the quality of announcer is worse, because former players get pushed up the ranks too quickly.  Tigers have been lucky to have back to back elite radio PBP guys.  But we went through a horrible TV PBP era.  Listening to a lot of broadcasts, there are a lot of bad announcers out there.

Great baseball radio broadcasts are undefeated.  Current radio broadcasts are very dependent on the guy doing them
