no clue. I just thought it was an odd choice of movie.

Lloyd Carr was actually really good friends with the actor Russell Crowe and he used to play his movies like Gladiator and Cinderella Man for his team.

Those movie choices make a hell of a lot more sense to me than Scarface but hey I guess it worked for Sherrone.

He may call for "No New" but doesn't mention what the NCAA has already powdered, packed and primed.

Sherrone Moore really talking up Michigan's defense in B1G media days. Says he feels like they have 10 starters on the DL (6 at DT and 4 at EDGE specifically- his exact words) and 4 starters at ILB (for 2 spots, Michigan is mostly a 3-4 team). Moore really talking up Jaishawn Barham and new comer Cole Sullivan at linebacker in particular- saying Barham is a freakshow and that Cole Sullivan is about to take over college football and become a household name.

Rod Moore coming back from injury to QB the secondary at free safety is going to be a huge addition as well. Moore is one of the best free safeties in CFB when right- and is the unquestioned leader/captain/QB of the secondary. Depth/returning talent at safety is excellent. Zeke Berry and Jyaire Hill got tons of starts last year at CB with Will Johnson missing most of the season- but they are going to need some young guys to step up to provide depth there. If there could be a weakness on the defense- it's that- proven depth at CB.

It took Wink Martindale like half a season to really figure it out and simplify the defense and stop blitzing so god damn much- but boy when he did that defense really took off the last 5-6 games of the season.

feel very strongly that Michigan is going to have a very deep, excellent defense this year. could potentially be a top 5 unit and even better than last years top 10 in the nation unit even despite losing the two stud 1st round DT's in the middle- simply based on the fact that if they get even middling production out of their passing offense and go from the 131st ranked pass offense to even like the 60-70s that defense is going to get a little bit of a breather and break and not be on the field the entire god damn game.

Shouldn't be a problem finding a beer vendor and a pretzel to go with it

Central Michigan became the latest program to face formal NCAA charges in connection to the widespread sign-stealing investigation centered around former Michigan staffer Connor Stalions. The school received a notice of allegations from the NCAA on June 27, stemming from a nearly two-year-old incident in which a man believed to be Stalions appeared on the Chippewas' sideline.

The moment in question occurred during Central Michigan's 2023 season opener at Michigan State, when a man resembling Stalions, wearing Chippewas coaching gear and sunglasses that appeared to include a recording device, and facial hair was seen among Central Michigan staffers. The NCAA began investigating the matter in late October 2023, shortly after the photos surfaced online and drew national attention.

Stalions, who since became a central figure in a high-profile sign-stealing scandal, denied being present on the sideline that night. He maintained that position even after the release of the Netflix documentary "Untold: Sign Stealer," which chronicled the larger investigation surrounding his alleged scheme.

According to the NCAA's Division I infractions database, the inquiry into Central Michigan began on Oct. 31, 2023. A formal notice of inquiry followed on Nov. 3, marking the official start of a lengthy process. The investigation lasted more than a year and was delayed several times due to what the NCAA cited as the submission of "false or misleading information," as well as the "withholding of requested materials." A review board finally met on Nov. 21, 2024, before the NOA was issued this summer.
