if an owner wants help building a stadium or anything else

ask the other owners for help, have the NFL pitch in

or their own fans that support the team and enjoy the stadium

having a little old lady that has no interest in football living in Chicago or Illinois help fund it doesn't make sense

An idea some mayors have is it will spur development and "pay for itself" etc. etc.  And of course a team may threaten to leave (Cincinnati).

I think Cincinnati mangled about as badly as it could be, but it was widely believed the city council got "funded".  The same happened with their streetcar, which has been abysmal as well.

Lions makes Amon-Ra St. Brown the highest paid WR in the NFL
he's a great young player and great team guy- but is he really worthy of being the highest paid WR in the NFL? I don't really think so. don't get me wrong, I love the kid and I'm happy he's a Lion and is staying put for the foreseeable future, but that's like Megatron/Julio Jones type money- and I don't think he's remotely in the same class as those types of receivers.

I think JJ to the Vikings would be the ideal situation for him. Sit for a year behind Darnold, learn the system and then be ready to rock in 2025 with weapons like Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson to throw to and an elite LT blocking up front for him.

I'm idly interested in the draft, I suppose, mostly because of the "projections", which never seem to be on spot.  That isn't a shock.

I liked the movie "Draft Day" a lot.

I suppose folks bet on this stuff.  To the extent I care about it, I'm find with just reading a bit tomorrow when we have the results, ELA puts a lot of effort into this and I do appreciate that.

Bears take Caleb Williams, Washington takes Jayden Daniels, and Patriots take Drake Maye.

All those situations suck for a young QB, I think. Definitely will be interesting to see what they all do. I think Bears might actually be the best situation of that group and yet they’ll still find a way to blow it, because: they are Da Bears.

Poor Caleb. I mean, he's rich. But it sucks that his career is already over.

What is your definition of suceeded?  Minnesota has had a lot of good QB play over the past 30 years.  They might have had more different QBs succeed than any other franchise.  They havent won a Super Bowl, but finding QBs hasnt been their problem

Weird stuff usually.

I think any Falcons fans out there have to be mystified and frustrated, generally.

Didn't they rob the US treasurey to give Cousins a new contract? Again this forum could come up with consensus picks that would routinely out perform the MOST NFL Front Offices
Suburbia:Where they tear out the trees & then name streets after them.
