Athlon Pre-Season B1G teams....

Lathan Ransom 1st team over Rod Moore is a head scratcher to me. Rod Moore is just flat out a far better safety. Think they should've put a Nickel defender slot for defense instead of THREE RBs on their offensive teams- and I'd roll with Mikey Sainistril all day there at 1st team nickel imo. Cal Haladay from Sparty on 1st team also kind made me go hmmm....he was torched all last year in pass coverage.

I obviously can't get worked up about such rankings preseason (or post for that matter).  It's probably better to have more folks listed than not.  TCU probably had one or two last year in the B12.

I think he's pretty good. Didn't say he stunk. He's definitely a quality starting B1G safety. Rod Moore is just flat out better. Significantly imo.

don't know about the entire season, he's a pretty solid safety. he was definitely torched that entire Michigan game though.

agreed. fun to look at and argue, but meaningless pre-season bs. probably a better sign for your teams '23 prospects if you have a lot of 1st and 2nd team players than if you have none though.

just perused that list. Georgia got plenty. The safety Starks was only a true frosh and that dude is LEGIT.
