honestly with the NIL money Louisville is pouring into the football program, I'd LOVE to see Brohm go there. His scheme/play-calling is awesome. I'd love to see what he could do with a better caliber of athlete on his roster.

Louisville for example has 5* #1 RB Rueben Owens out of Texas committed to them for 2023. Apparently got a huge NIL deal on the table once he signs. They also have a top 100 recruit (#78 overall) that plays WR out of California in 2023.

I want to see a Brohm offense stocked to the cupboards full of guys like that. It'd be quite the show.

I'd rather see him stock the cupboard here in the big ten west and elevate the competition here

I wouldn't mind that either, but he's not getting the type of players at Purdue that he can get at Louisville with that NIL program.

put aside Brohm's personal connections to Louisville and the city, making that move right now could make a lot of sense from his perspective....

Wisconsin and Nebraska have been way down this year and he still only backed into winning the West. IF Luke Fickell and Matt Rhule really are legit coaches, both those programs will get better. Fast. And they are above Purdue in the pecking order historically speaking. Not to mention when USC and UCLA join and if they keep West/East divisions- well his division just got even tougher. Now if they decide to move Purdue to the East to balance out the divisions- he's going to a division with Ohio St/Mich/Penn State automatically in front of him with huge recruiting advantages over him.

At Louisville not only is that program committing serious resources to NIL in order to recruit higher end talent than he can get at Purdue, he's got an open opportunity to take over a terrible conference and win a division on a yearly basis where his only real competition will be one team: Clemson- and it's a Clemson team that has been trending down the past 2-3 years.

Very little chance they keep the east/west divisions in my view at all (we'd barely play the other division), but the competion in a 16 team Big Ten is not good for conference championships, especially for programs that need more to go right.  It is a cost of the last few rounds I think has been underappreicated.

Wisconsin DC Jim Leonhard is moving on.

Kent State Head Coach is leaving to be Deion Sanders' offensive co-ordinator at Colorado. Whoa. Also, sounds like 2022 #1 overall recruit DB Travis Hunter is hitting the portal and following Deion to Colorado. Deion should hit the phones and offer Leonhard the DC job at Colorado. Deion is going to get players to follow him- he builds an ace staff to develop those players he's going to take over the PAC by 2025 at the latest.

Brohm to Louisville

Rueben Owens, the No. 2 running back from the 2023 class, has decommitted from Louisville. He announced this decision just moments ago on social media.

"I would like to thank the Louisville family and fans for all of the love you have shown me throughout this process. This is bittersweet for me, due to all the relationships that have been developed," Owens tweeted. "After talking to my parents and taking everything into consideration I have decided to decommit from the University of Louisville. I will remain prayerful and grateful in this journey."

Owens originally gave Louisville his commitment in June.

So Brohm off to a smashing start
