Steve Taylor had good speed and elusive moves as a runner (over 2,000 career rush yards and a then single game record 157 yards against Utah State in 1987).  But Taylor does not always receive enough credit as a passer.  Certainly, many remember his impressive line against #3 UCLA (10-15, 217 yards, five touchdowns).  But having been away from an option offense for more than ten years, can we really appreciate what a five passing touchdown day would have looked like in Osborne’s ground offense?

In case you thought the UCLA game was a fluke, Taylor added a four TD performance against Mizzou in the same season, which helped him earn All America honors.

His first QB recruit was Terry Dean, and that remains the 30 for 30 I most want to see.  He was there during that brief window where tons of college football was on cable television, but there was no internet. ESPN kept telling us he was a Heisman favorite, and then he had one bad game, and was never heard from again.  I would still love to know the full story there

Boy, the Swamp Kings doc on Netflix was a huge nothing burger.  No juicy bits.  Nothing about specific arrests or Aaron Hernandez.
It was a normal, bland recap of the UM years at Florida.
My only takeaway was that the coaches cussed a lot, lol.

I don't think it's anything crazy.
He was pissy about playing behind Matthews.
Then when he played, he had the same overall stats as Wuerffel, but in a different way.  He was riskier and more all-or-nothing.
Then he threw 8 INTs in 2.5 games.
He reacted pissy when he was benched.

Do you think Wuerffel got pissy when he was benched? 
Plus, Spurrier had Eric Kresser behind both of them, who had the best arm, threw for 450 yds in a game at FL, then transferred to Marshall and went 15-0 throwing to Randy Moss.

Dean thought he was special playing for a HC who thought he could make anyone special.
