I'm not giving up on Mertz - yet.

Did you see UW lost a talented WR this week to the portal?

He said there is talent in the WR room going to waste because of play calling.
A. I didn't say he's not fixable, but for the moment, sucks.
B. There is nothing to indicate that the kid is talented. If he's talented, he'd play more
C. I think this WR room is fine. Maybe above average, but it has two guys who have been around a long time and have not lived up to modest hype for the most part.

I don't know what will happen, but it is possible Purdue will have the same hangover that Iowa had last week.

Purdue always gets trounced after pulling a Spoilermaker. You can set your watch to it.

I remember I predicted it after the last time that they beat OSU and you all thought that I was crazy. Then they suffered a double digit loss to a hilariously bad Michigan State team.

To their credit they did bounce back and beat a ranked Iowa team the week after that. But then Minnesota beat them 41-10

Gotta love how Mertz put a run pursuing DE on his rear with a nasty blind side hit at 5:10 in the 4th.  The Purdue player had to come out and Mertz didn’t seem to mind getting the 15 yard penalty.  The kid is a football player.
