Texas A&M dropping out of the Gator Bowl due to COVID issues
Sun Bowl might be off too, due to issues with Miami

CFP announces they are prepared to declare a national champion via forfeit if necessary.  At that point, why not just play the game in February?  We are talking about one game

already lost aTm in the gator bowl due to covid.

bama oc bob and oline marone both are positive but hopeful to be back for cfp game vs cinci.

i understand uga has a player or 2 positive as well.

anyone else?

hope we don't end up with a bunch of no-shows for bowl season. cfp committee just announced procedures for cfp. basically it's a forfeit. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32924158/college-football-playoff-champion-crowned-via-covid-related-forfeit-says-new-policy

Texas A&M had to back out of the Gator Bowl due to a Covid-19 outbreak among the team on Wednesday.

Now, there’s a chance that a 5-7 team could potentially take their place in the game. Brett McMurphy of the Action Sports Network stated that Rutgers had the option of replacing the Aggies, but turned down the chance.

Bret Bielema and Illinois could be one of the teams to fill that spot. Bielema said that he’ll be “waiting by the phone” in a recent Tweet.

Holy smokes. I 100% guarantee Cincinnati is masked, social distancing, and taking every possible precaution.

Can you imagine if Cincinnati wins the CFP and the MNC by virtue of two forfeits of 'Bama and whoever advances from UM/UGA?

That'd be delicious!

I heard they were offered, but passed.  Haven't practiced, kids already sent home

That's what was originally reported, but seemingly things have changed?

I'm always entertained when the announcers seemingly have no clue what is going on.
