Defensive back Darius Moore isn't done with football yet. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back from Iowa, who just finished up a productive sophomore season for the Iowa Western Community College Reivers, announced plans to walk-on at Nebraska.

Moore confirmed that he'll be joining the Huskers as a walk-on with Husker247 on Monday afternoon.

This past season Moore finished with 41 tackles, including 27 solo stops and a fumble recovery. The long defender said he feels his instincts often come alive on the field, allowing him to be in the right spot. That comes from plenty of preparation.

Moore has three years to complete two seasons of eligibility.

Former Husker running back Maurice Washington has been located and is “safe and sound” after being reported missing last week by family members.

not sure, some think he disappeared himself

closed all his social media accounts

I'm encouraged that he was still in Lincoln, possibly working on a degree

life is hard for everyone, especially for young people

Nebraska track and field senior Kevin Cahoy was named to the 2019-20 Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team and senior Luke Siedhoff was named to the Second Team on Thursday, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced. The awards move Nebraska's nation-leading Academic All-America total to 340 all-time across all sports.

Cahoy, a Grand Island native, has a 3.99 GPA majoring in biological sciences and microbiology. He finished third in the pole vault at the 2020 Big Ten Indoor Championships with a personal-best clearance of 17-3 1/2 (5.27m).

I watched a couple games from the 94 season the past few days.   I recalled the 94 defense was fast and disruptive, but I really forgot how imposing it was...   yes, that D gave up plays, but they really took the fight out of teams.   Colorado with all their weapons could not score any points until 1:08 left in the 3rd quarter.   UNL moving DB's to OLB really created problems for their opponents in that season.   I still prefer an attacking defense that gives up plays vs the bend but don't break style that became popular after OSU and the sweater vest won their NC over Miami.

this is what I prefer and what Frost's defense was supposed to be

big plays on defense, TFL and turnovers.

The Month of July in Husker History................

1930: A passing target made from an auto tire at Nebraska merits a write-up in Popular Mechanics. Meanwhile, the university plans to purchase a canvas cover for the Memorial Stadium football field, and three Husker games are considered for national radio broadcasts.

I would have loved to see PSU's '94 team shred that defense.  :)

Kidding aside, the fact those two teams never played kills me.
