fans like to expect a top 10 or top 5 product if the coach top 10 in getting paid
Fans are unreasonable morons.

Haha, yes we are!! But to play devil's advocate in favor of Fearless and Mdot, we do subsidize every coach salary through our tickets, apparel and cable packages. So despite being unreasonable morons, there's hope to forgive ourselves.

BUT that doesn't change the fact that Harbaugh isn't paid [x million] to [insert accomplishment]. He's paid his salary because Michigan hired him. It may seem boringly simplistic but that's actually the full and only reason for his salary. He'd be paid less at most other schools and his successor will be paid as much or more.

Any Michigan fan complaining about Harbaugh's salary/accomplishment ratio should either go the full step and recommend he be fired or just stop. Given the 10-win seasons after the Hoke/RR eras, my recommendation is they stop.

Agreed.
On a Purdue blog, someone had the temerity to ask what Brohm's leash is now that we're paying him top-10 money. How long do we accept results below that?
Morons. As if they'd accept worse results if we paid a coach <$1M (Hope), or $2M (Hazell). Nobody wanted to keep 6-6 Hope just because he was overperforming his salary.
If you have a coach you want to keep, you pay market rates to keep him. It's as simple as that. Beyond that point, $$$ doesn't correlate to wins.

Welp, in a crazy turn of events sounds like the Dax Hill recruitment isn’t over. Even the Bama mods over at 247Sports are a little uneasy/unsure if Dax sticks with them. Sounds like this one ain’t over.

Apparently the kids brother Justice Hill- the Ok St RB- declared for the draft and hired an NFL agent. His NFL idiot agent was basically telling the family Harbaugh is going back to the NFL. Probably why you saw Harbaugh come out literally the day after Dax Hill flipped and strongly stated to the media that he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Yeah, no thanks on a double flip recruit.

Normally I’d agree with you, but Dax Hill wasn’t that type of kid and this caught the entire recruiting world completely off guard.
Wonder if Cris Carter’s ignorant ass going on national tv spouting he has sources that tell him Harbaugh is looking to go back to the NFL had anything to do with this.
Apparently the kids brother has an NFL agent who told the family the same thing- Harbaugh would be taking an NFL job this offseason or the next. Which is why he flipped on such short notice. The flip even caught the Alabama staff off guard according to the Bama insiders. This kid isn’t like that. He’s not one of those kids full of himself or into recruiting and press clippings.

Sounds like MSU's Plan B at QB after losing Dwan Mathis to OSU (despite the fake story about them trying to flip BC commit Sam Johnson) is Naperville, IL's Payton Thorne, who committed to WMU over NC State, but who MSU offered this week.
Told NC State no, is debating between sticking with his commitment or flipping to MSU.  Apparently his dad is his HS coach and a long time friend of the WMU coach, which is what's making this tough on him.

Badger class is up to 19 now, with the commit they got today. 4* SS Titus Toler out of St. John Bosco flipped to UW today, from his Colorado commit. That makes 2 Bosco commits in this class, to go along with LB Spencer Lytle.
U RAH RAH! WIS CON SIN!

His dad was the coach at my HS when I was there... And chemistry teacher.
I think he was a better football coach than chemistry teacher lol...

Flipped to MSU.  Losing your long time QB commit sucks, tough to find a Plan B.  Kid has a good arm, but he's short.

UM offers LB Brock Horne as a PWO.  Once MSU lost out on the Cali kid to Washington, I liked Horne's film enough to give him a scholarship offer as a Plan B.  Still has no P5 scholarship offers I believe, but if UM gets him as a walk on, that would be a steal.  IMO hell be a contributor.
Took a scholarship from Bowling Green instead.  I still would have no problem with MSU offering him.  I think he's a real nice late hail Mary.
