is this real? LOL wtf.

Dude just fired his agent and hired SEC super agent Jimmy Sexton. I don't think he does that if he planned on staying at Penn State. He only does that if he's planning on getting a new gigantic deal from an SEC team.
According to Franklin, he changed agents during the summer.  It is just now coming to light because of the vacancies.

Really Franklin? With that press conference; are you using a Rope-a-Dope strategy? Are you trying to Troll OSU Fans? Hoke called Ohio State 'Ohio', is Franklin trying to take the rivalry up a step and call the Buckeyes 'Illinois'?

When I start to feel good about the Buckeyes, I get nervous. And how OSU has feasted on bad opponents, has everyone feeling good about OSU. And Penn State absolutely falling apart against the Fighting Bert's, has everyone feeling bad about the Lions. Then Franklin, getting a new 'SEC' super agent, and acting like a moron at his press conference, has he lost the team? Is one foot out the door? All this leads to an easy pick for Ohio State, but.....

I think Penn State, errr I mean 'Pittsburgh' (see what I did there?) is going to throw everything including the kitchen sink at the Buckeyes, and it's gonna be another classic. If OSU doesn't bring their A+ game, I can see the game breaking in favor of the Bad guys. And since this game is in the Big House, fan noise won't be a factor.

Why do teenage girls always walk in groups of 3,5,7?

Because "I can't even...."

And that's how I feel about this game. I can't even...

I'll be on campus by noon, and sitting first row of C deck section 25. Let's Go Bucks!
I'm a little more bullish on the Buckeyes but I generally feel the same way.  I see a distinct possibility that Penn State is just a beaten team.  The Illinois loss was really a killer because it took away almost all of their previous goals:
  • Win B1G:  Nearly impossible now because it is extremely unlikely that tOSU, M, and MSU will all lose twice.
  • Go to CFP:  Zero chance as a 2-loss non-Champion.
Then on top of that Franklin looked distracted so maybe he is.

I see a distinct possibility that PSU shows up distracted/beaten/lost/whatever and the Buckeyes just win in a laugher.

OTOH, the other possible response for PSU is to "circle the wagons" so to speak and come out fighting like a cornered animal.

I have absolutely no idea which PSU we'll see which makes it REALLY hard to have any idea what to expect.  I do think that an early lead for the Buckeyes could lead to a HUGE win because I think PSU's mental state may be fragile enough that getting something like a two-TD early lead could just blow them up.

#20 Penn State Nittany Lions (2-2, 5-2) at #5 Ohio State Buckeyes (4-0, 6-1)
7:30 - Columbus, OH - ABC
The shine has come off this one in a hurry thanks to a pair of losses from Penn State, where the offense looked absolutely anemic without a fully healthy Sean Clifford.  The line this week seems to reflect that he still isn't healthy, but absent hearing anything further, I generally assume guys are either going to play or not, so for these purposes, I'm going to assume he's good to go.  He better be, because as good as the Nittany Lions defense is, and it is probably the best in the conference, if your offense still can't put up enough points to outscore Iowa and Illinois, good lord, how can they possibly expect to keep up with the Buckeyes.  Oregon held them to 28, back when their offense didn't look like it did now...and it was barely enough.  Even if Penn State can repeat that, which I think they can, Penn State is a better defense, and that Oregon team was missing Kayvon Thibodeaux, I'm not sure the Nittany Lions can get to 35.  And no Big Ten team has held the Ohio State offense to under 45 points.  And when Minnesota did that, we questioned what was wrong with their offense.  Oddly, this is the third time in program history that Ohio State has scored 50+ points in four consecutive games.  The two prior times were 2014 and 2017, and both times they had to play Penn State to get that program record setting fifth straight.  Both times Penn State ended the streak, but both times Ohio State still won the game.  Why we have gone from wondering if this is the year someone jumps up and keeps the Buckeyes out of the Big Ten Championship Game, to penciling them back into the playoff is the defense.  Ohio State doesn't have to be great on defense, but after Minnesota and Oregon shredded them to start the year, we legitimately wondered how bad they could be.  They still lack the elite pass rusher to erase the other holes that they've had annually, but the linebacker play has really been a pleasant surprise, with Ronnie Hickman taking a massive leap forward, and converted running back Steele Chambers looking like a natural.  The secondary is still a little too dependent on turnovers though.  The Nittany Lions' hopes hinge entirely on Sean Clifford being 100%, and the lines, both of them, but particularly the defensive line, have to shake off last week.  The Buckeye running game is fairly big play dependent, so they have to bottle them hope, and rely on a secondary, which is leading the nation in opposing yards per attempt (4.9) and is second, behind Washington, in yards per completion (9.0)
OHIO STATE 34, PENN STATE 21

ELA,good write up,haven't followed the Ninnies too close they're DB's pretty good?If they can put Iowa/Illinois behind them along with Franklin's faux pas they're in this with a healthy Clifford. They have nothing to lose so they'll be bringing everything, sure there will be plenty of recruits attending

Good game tough to follow up UM/MSU but entertaining none the less.Buckeyes couldn't find a rythm and struggled to maintain drives and a scrappy lions defense had a lot to do with that
I hope Clifford stays healthy the rest of the way he certainly looked sharp yesterday.IMO Franklin's not going anywhere.A few things broke that kept a W out of the Lions reach - Cage's 57 yd scamper on a scoop/score, Henderson bouncing out of the pack and down the sideline for 68 yds getting knocked out at the 2 and Olave's long TD reception from Stroud. The game had more of the close OSU/PSU tilts from years before
