I read somewhere that OU has a very solid defense, and UM hardly scored after their first drive on WMU, so,  maybe it turns out to be 51-48 or something.

Lloyd Carr is Michigan's best coach in the modern era, and nobody could ever convince me otherwise.
nah. it's Jeem. Lloyd definitely an underrated coach.

Jeem is one of the best football coaches period of the last 25 years.

more I think about it, more I think Whittingham might just be a bad fit. What QB has he developed.....ever. Oh yeah, none. Guy was the head coach at Utah for 21 years and never once had a QB drafted. Can't really say "oh but it's Utah" - Urbz was the head coach there for 2 years and turned Alex Smith into a #1 overall NFL draft pick.

Whittingham might just be past his prime and half-checked out- it happens- dude is 67- just a hop jump and a skip from 70- and has been coaching college ball for over 40 years. I'll still take him over the skirt chaser anyday of the week don't get me wrong- but maybe he wasn't the home run hire he was made out to be....

Underwood has to play better but I didn't like Whittingham calling him out like that at a press conference. #1 guy he should've called out was his supposed "best OL coach in the country" he brought with him from Utah. Cause that same OL group never looked that f'ing bad last year with the skirt chaser as head coach- and damn sure not vs a MAC team.

per Urbz....yeah...we coooked....

Quote
"There Are so many issues than just Bryce Underwood," Meyer said. "Their offensive line was not good… I talked to Kyle quite a bit. Obviously, I'm very close with him. He loves the backup quarterback, but he loves Bryce Underwood. Bryce Underwood is not a resistance, he's just got to get better. I expect him to get better and better."
"However, if this thing does not go well in the first half, you might see the freshman quarterback Carr come in there."

Tommy Carr was a run of the mil 3* HS prospect and is a 195 pound and physically under-developed true freshman....but he's the savior. Lmfao. We are so f'ing cooked.

Tommy Boy just might be able to throw a forward pass though. And with BU they have to run 1st if he's going to work out otherwise defenses will play man and jam the running lanes

definitely a little bit of that might be going on imo.

Dillingham was #1 on my wishlist. we would've actually seen Michigan have a 21st century passing offense for the first time in history. oh well. sucks to suck.

Bryce absolutely can slang the football. Kid has a nuclear arm. Insane arm talent. His biggest problems obviously are the footwork/mechanics....he gets ridiculously sloppy with it and panics whenever he gets even a hint of pressure. And then of course the processing....he locks on to his first guy and doesn't go through the progressions calmly and find the open man. He pre-determines where he's going with the ball and just goes there even when it's covered.

He looks like he has actually gotten WORSE and regressed in these areas so far through one game vs a powder puff MAC team of the Whittingham Era. That is concerning. Not just about Bryce but about these new coaches.
